  • it's not all about "calories" when it comes to health...

  • i agree with her for the most part.

  • i bet she got payed to do this : D

  • Neotame- an artificial sweetener, more dangerous than aspartame has been approved by the FDA. It does not have to be labeled , not even in USDA Organics!!!

Check out my blog for more info an Neotame...

  • Does the Corn Refiners Association help to fund ongoing research projects by these academics and M.D.'s such as James M. Rippe, Arthur Frank, John S. White, and Kristine Clark???

  • @tombocombo5 Please see a list of independent experts that serve on the CRA Scientific Advisory Panel bit(dot)ly/ib6i9V. It is important to note that the validity of a study is often measured by the scientific journal in which it is published, whereby the research has passed the scrutiny of trained scientists, with no vested interest in the subject. Considerable research on high fructose corn syrup has been published, which you can find at bit(dot)ly/dKPYVq

  • Eat less? Um, when you eat a cup of apples, you are only getting 65 calories, but your stomach is satisfied because that's the amount it wanted to hold it over until dinner, but a cup of, let's say Teddy Grahams, amounts to 300+ calories, you are telling us to eat less but the food that is being made and given to consumers at a very cheap price compared to fresh grown products aren't proportioned well. Just because you have the money to eat right doesn't mean we do.

  • Fun calories, lol

They talk down to us like were children.

  • Propaganda much? Yes, Sugar ~= Honey ~= HFCS in terms of percentages of Glucose and Fructose. But that makes something of a Straw Man argument, does it not? Did they bother to compare those three to, for example, Dextrose or Maltose (pure glucose formulation)? They're just playing mathematical games with us by comparing ingredients with quantities they KNOW are similar and then trying to claim that because things they know are similar ARE similar that they're not BAD, which is simply fallacious.

  • I'll give you guys (Corn Refiners Association) credit where credit's due: HFCS probably isn't worse than sugar. But, sugar's terrible for you - and you guys have caused it to become ubiquitous in our diets by putting it in everything! You should just be entirely honest, and say, "we use corn syrup because US farm subsidies make corn products cheaper than regular market forces would allow."

  • @jazzyjeffreyb We agree that all sugars should be enjoyed in moderation. USDA data show that per capita consumption of sugar has always exceeded the per capita consumption of high fructose corn syrup with sugar maintaining its position as the most widely consumed fructose-containing sweetener in the U.S. food supply. We facilitated an eBook to address the concerns of eating too much sugar and focus on a balanced diet. Go to cornsugar. com and search for "Dietary Guide" to find the eBook.
