I don't even care what anyone else has to say about him, I love this man. I never really watched LOST, but I certainly love the rest of his works. (Fringe is one of my all-time favorite shows!) I'm definitely excited to see that he might work with Joss Whedon soon. Can you think of a better team? I think if they tried to come up with an explanation, most likely for a portion of viewers they would not think it was good enough and would think it was a lame ending whereas just enough of a lack of explanation leaves so much possibility.
