I figure I could use the 1700 or so dollars on headers aluminum radiator distributor and carb. as far as headers. Acouple of muffler shop guys have told me a good set of shorty headers, not block huggers would be a good way to go and wouldn't lose any horse power. Also the pipes could be bent around starter and tranny. Anyway that's just my plan so far. Any thoughts?
I have looked at Hugh's engines and Muscle Motors and a lot of other places and none of them will give you a warranty. I would like to have the 455 Hp. But I can get the 375 HP 460 Torque, basic sent to my door for around $3900.00. I have a 67 Barracuda fastback and several mopar heads have assured me that motor will move that car faster than what I think and will have no problem surprising a big block. Besides the 455 is only 55 more Lbs of Torque and 70 HP. Just depends on what you want.?
I'm going to buy the 375 HP here in acouple of months. Maybe sooner I hope. My buddy and myself have talked to Tru at Blueprint on several occasions ( Tru by the way is who you want to talk to, She handles the Mopar 408's). ?
Hello. i haven't a lot of time in the last months. so this is the answer. : this engine was completly false set. the carburators and the ignition. i've put the video on youtbe, cause the car was very loud and it sounds amazing. not we put the right set on the engine and now the car runs well. with a 3.73 rear axle the car runs very well and yes, the dart has abozt 450hp. this summer i will put a video on youtbe. we have also a new TTI performance exhaust system with flowmaster super 44.
I am very weary of Blueprint. Did you buy the 455 hp or the smaller one? What are your opinions on the motor now? Would you recommend these Mopar motors to your best friend?
This guy wont respond to me about it either.... so much for "all mopar guys are friendly with each other"...haha . I am planning to buy the 455hp version in the spring for a project I am working on.. I will let you know how it goes.. Not all the mopar guys are stuck up...
