  • love this instrumental version of the beautiful scottish song

  • im in 8th grade and we r playin this song but its alot alot alot faster than this version. same notes and meledy tho :o

  • HORRIBLE!!! you guys are sitting back in your chairs you're not dressed properly your low section needs to be tuned and ''darker''. you need to work on dynamics ALOT!!!...you have some squeaking maybe in the clarinet or flute a trumpet dropped the note at the very end also you all are treating this song like its to easy...i kept on hearing some strange sound i think somebody was constantly loss throughout the song and playing the wrong notes...i would know because i play trombone in my band

  • @noobsilencer112 Did you not see where the poster said these were middle school students who had only played together for 12 hours before this was recorded? Give them a break! They don't deserve a self-proclaimed know-it-all tearing them down for trying to do something good.

  • This piece is easy to play, but hard to play well. Dynamics need to be much bigger -- you can't even tell the difference between the TPT1's piano and fortissimo.

Perhaps it's a different arrangement, but overall it was significantly different from the one we play in 9/10 mixed gifted.

  • I play trombone and am in the 7th grade. We are going to play Ye Banks And Braes and Cumberland Cross for U.I.L

  • Lol we're doin this at my school and when the low people are playing, all you can hear is me because we've got 2 basses and only one will work with an amp and a Bari sax (me)

  • lovely instrumental version of the beautiful song

  • This is really not very nice. Perc is a little funny...lower brass needs to tune (way flat!) And overall intonation of the group is pretty poor. Also you should watch your conductor, stay in time. Perhaps worst of all, it seems that they are treating this as an "easy" piece; it isn't even remotely expressive.

Nice effort, but really not noteworthy at all. (No pun intended!)

  • I am also currently playing this in my band class. We sound better and go a lot faster, but this still sounds decent.

  • good effort!

  • lol i notice at the starting the trombones were a little flat lol :P

  • haha i just played this tonight at my 8th grade spring concert

  • Learned this song ages ago in band Class --Dropped out of Band about 4 years ago...regret it now :'(--

Still rember this song note for note. :)

Now Learning to play it on Guitar, trying to create an Electric/Acoustic Variation. :)

Might get it up sometime on ye youtube. :P

u filthy americans. u disgrace the name o' boonie doon

  • im playing this in my school band

  • im playing this my band sound a little better though no offence

  • I'm playing it right now its not bad real easy

  • i just did this song and i thought it was really easy

  • We're PLaying this too

  • my band is doing this song also. you have good clarinets. obviously since they are the best in franklin county.

  • These are selected students from middle schools throughout Franklin county in NC. They only practiced together as a band for less than 12 hours before performing three songs at the high school.

  • wow was that at uil?

  • What school is this? I'm in Canyon Ridge Middle School in Texas and at our UIL we played this song, Tricycle, and Norland March and got all 1's.^_^
