if you watch this after watching the first Conan the Barbarian film, it turns into a film about Valeria coming back from the dead and trying to get her revenge on Sonja for taking her man.
Thought this was an entertaining S&S with some nice designs, dunno why it gets the hate it does. Though it doesn't look all that great in this trailer

Red Sonja was made in 1985 but looked as it was early 60's. Visual effects were bad and the acting was poor. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Brigitte Nielsen can't act at all so I guess they focused on their look and YEAR - Arnold and Brigitte looked sexy and very hot that time but I still must admit that Elvira, Mistress of the Dark (1988), Legend (1985), Sheena (1984) and Big Trouble in Little China (1986) were much more interesting and with better visual effects
