I didnt doubt your patriotism. Well indirectly but that's besides the point. I have several loved ones who have served. The military is deeply engrained in my family. However, what the military is doing is not wrong. Telling a loved one overseas that what they're doing is wrong, undermines their morale and is frankly a very uncaring thing to say. Our servicemen deserve love, respect, and support. 2/3 won't cut it.

Although I did show some concern when they signed up, I have never told them what they are doing is wrong. Because its not their decisions, they are following orders. They know what I believe and we leave it at that. When I talk to them its the standard 'good luck, i love you, be safe'
