You play in some sort of japanese cultur so some people are farmers, others kings and some saurai...there u can do tactics with samurai and all but free for all larps really looks boring

this is the first larp video in wich the guys are actually figthing, nothing personal but if you look arround the net almost all larp videos shows people poking eachother whit cardbox swords, they dont figth and still keep making those warrior poses. it kinda of anoys to see it, expecialy when you are a seasoned role player.

maybe one side ambushes the other team or one team throws water ballons to kill the enemy, not just 2 teams going to some open plain and attacking each other with hand weapons, kinda boring

or many smaller teams get bases around a forest and each team can try to ambush the bases, a bit like castles...more tactics, more fun

Uff, wir haben zwar bei dem Trailer einfach drauf los gemacht "Hey ich hab ne Kamera dabei!" aber die Moves und Aktionen sind natürlich nicht nach Jahrelangem Gefuchtel entstanden. Schwierig sind die meisten dennoch nicht. Man darf nur einfach keine Scheu davor haben "Dreck zu fressen", muss ein Gefühl für Wucht und Impulsenergie entwickeln, dann geht das schon, eine Grundsportlichkeit gehört natürlich dazu.

Man muss dazu sagen, einige von uns haben Kampfsporterfahrung, das hilft manchmal.

Paintballing isn't about playing a role dude, if I go paintballing, I don't pretend to be a soldier fighting a war against an enemy, I just try to hit my friends for fun and for laughs. We don't act like GI Joe's during the paintball session;

And LARP is a common term, very often used wrong - if a bunch of people dress up in chain armor and go out to woods just to fight, it's the same roleplay as paintball... But people still tend to call it LARP(not saying that these guys were only fighting and not LARPing though)

If you go out paintballing you don't play a role, you practice some kind of sport.

I just think it's wrong to compare paintballing to larping as they are 2 very different things.

Actually, a sword master would be using his skills to defend himself, while these guys are only really trying to get one hit on the body in.
