too bad you cant change view, i have my car painted the same way michael andrettis car was from 92, i added the same paint scheme to mario, just changed the number to 5 instead of 1

You can play it on XP/Vista/7 with the DOSBOX, which is an MS-Dos emulator. Works amazingly well.

On that, does anyone know where I can download the track packs?

For anyone curious about playing DOS games in Windows XP, Vista, or 7, download DOSBOX, its free and it works great!

I for a long time was worried that I would have to get rid of all of my awesome DOS games that I grew up playing (Indy Car Being the first racing game) but then I was told about DOSBOX and now I can play this game on my brand new laptop.

I still have this game + the track pack + the indy 500 track i had to send off for, in perfect condition.

If anything, it should be a collectors item lol.

Classic game in it's own right ,i had many good hours playing this game. IT was a sad day when Papyrus closed.

I still play Nascar 2003 even now workes perfect even on Vista :).

One of the first racing games I ever played (was only about 3 when it came out!!)........ Love the cheesy music too =P

Any chance that you can record the music when you win the race? Was such a motivating piece of music from what I remember!

I have some good memories of this game, it was the first racing game i played. I remember that Mario Andretti`s car was a different collor from this video on my version. My favorite track is Portland but i love Laguna Seca too.
