Yesterday my PC stopped displaying anything except horizontal lines, and it became totally impossible to determine what I'm looking at. Can someone tell me if this is likely a problem with the graphics card being too dusty, or maybe it became dislodged somehow? Or something else entirely? A response would be appreciated.
I downloaded MW3 for windows 7 and it keeps saying, "video card or driver doesn't support UBYTE4N vertex data. I did everything you said but it still is not running. what's the problem?
works for windows 7: right click, click on personalize, go to display settings, and change you bit to the opposite. so if you are using 32 bit, switch to 16 bit.

Can someone help me? My computer crashed awhile ago, and a few months after that I finally got the courage to play my games on it again. I got the video card to play the games (mainly DoW2/CoH), but for some reason all the graphics on the game are set to low/medium, but before the crash it was able to set alot better than that. Whats going on? Is the VC damaged? I know not completely damaged, I can still play the games (couldnt before I got it), but now its just not as good. Please reply, thnx!

@laptopyaya If the game requires an x1950 you *have* to buy a x1950 or equivalent to run it, unfortunately you can't go around that - hope you got some money lying about, or that you can live without playing that game

hey mine works fine now i played for 2 1/2 hours and my prosceser is freezen cold what can i play to make it get warm at first it poops out on me and over heats and now its faster but cooler! i just go on and on.
A lil tip about drivers. Make sure drivers are about a week old before installing them. Because in some rare cases new drivers can introduce crippling issues that might damage your card. This is rare though, they usually test them throughly but sometimes they do miss things.

@MrHellbane Which graphics card are you using? try installing latest drivers. if software type of things are good. take the graphics card out and use a hair dryer or heat gun and heat the gpu which connects the pin connections if broken..

@LedZepp543 6150 is your onboard video. If you have a 7900 then you need to make sure its plugged into that card.

I have the same problem matrix on 8800GT Nvdia. I'm going try uninstall the driver an restart. If that doesn't work probably buy a new card.

Please help me someone
Whenever i play a game or a movie or YT video every once on while there is sort of a burr or a fault in the video and sound
Basically what it does its like its jams the video card or sth up for like half a second or so and the picture and audio freeze for half a second and then go on normally
I have acer aspire 5738zg running windows 7 ultimate 32bit
Is it cause of a virus or is my pc really broken???

hey ok so i updated my computer to vista then back to xp and my computer wont let me run any of my games it says i have 0 MB on my video card and the game need 64 and i have a video card but it wont let me run any games

Hey dude, I tried a new nvidia 9500 GT 1Gb DDr2... seems like COD5 fried the video card... is it a video card issue or motherboard issue? i thought that a DDr2 running on 2gigs of ram would be more than enough to run cod4 and 5.... the card ran HL2 well... if anyone could help with this problem please let me know, I have a 680i LT SLI mobo and my video card has missing frames and twisted graphix, odd colours... please help me put my mind at ease, thanks.

Hey, I was wondering if u could help with the problem im having with my PC, the problem is that when I turn on my pc & monitor, nothing shows on the monitor, it's not a problem with the monitor cuz i hooked up a dif. One and still had the problem. The PC turns on, but it wont display anything on the monitor, please help.

@laptopyaya If the game requires an x1950 you *have* to buy a x1950 or equivalent to run it, unfortunately you can't go around that - hope you got some money lying about, or that you can live without playing that game

i hav a problem....i had warcraft 3 on my computer on xp...worked well though i did not hav a graphic card...but now i hav installed sme new xp version and my game does not work...it says u hav a directx error...can some1 help me!!!!

i'm having a problem i played a game until now and worked perfectly on the highest resolution but i reinstalled it a lot of times and now it says i don;teven have the necessary video memory to play it.. it's a virus or a problem? i tried and reinstalled the drivers and got the latest driver uptade and it said"non 7zip archive" WTF?

hey mine works fine now i played for 2 1/2 hours and my prosceser is freezen cold what can i play to make it get warm at first it poops out on me and over heats and now its faster but cooler! i just go on and on.

A lil tip about drivers. Make sure drivers are about a week old before installing them. Because in some rare cases new drivers can introduce crippling issues that might damage your card. This is rare though, they usually test them throughly but sometimes they do miss things.

can i help you for this problem first off all open your cpu cabinet and remove ram and remove computer cell on motherboard again inserted ram and start your pc and insert the cell motherboard cell your computer will be run normal i suggest you if your problem has not solve at this time okkk thnxx dont mind sir i was also suffering in problem before one month

@TheRino2009z: Why in the hell would you disable the video ram? That way, there's no memory source for the image and so you get no image. LOL, that was the most lame mistake I've ever seen... sorry.

@MrHellbane Which graphics card are you using? try installing latest drivers. if software type of things are good. take the graphics card out and use a hair dryer or heat gun and heat the gpu which connects the pin connections if broken..

Same with me. It started while I was playing this game online. My screen is extremely garbled and I can hardly see anything if im at 1200-1600 resolution. I tried updating my drivers and everything. Sites don't recognize my video card. My pc says I DONT EVEN HAVE A VIDEO CARD. It happened totally randomly. Does anyone know what this is???
