Marines beat Army. Black bear beats grizzly bear? Literally can the Marine Corps beat the Army? No, considering the less man power and equipment and the fact they get funded by the Navy and the Army's old equipment, not all but some equipment. Now if the Marines had their own football team you can start talking. But you are still considered Navy in the game of football. But all in all, who cares, one team one fight.
Us West Pointer's respect the Navy Grad's immensely, we just make these videos as part of our on-going rivalry. All Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen deserve our respect, don't mis-interpret these videos.
We do appreciate the USMC, that's why we rarely talk shit on them. We respect the fact that they go out there and get their hands dirty like us soldiers. We don't appreciate when they talk shit on us seeing as we do the same basic job. Soldiers and Marines are warriors... Seamen are warfighters if you can tell the difference. One team, one fight. Hooah, and Oorah to Uncle Sam's misguided children.
@spetsnaznaz the Marines are the first guys in the action then the Army shows up later lol thats why the Marines get the nickname the bodybags of the Military as the army puts it....OORAH!!
@Hoaxhead First off, you shouldn't be proud about losing more lives, every lost life is a tragedy, and secondly that's really just not true. We actually show up before the Marines with first response units and elite groups, it's just that a lot of the Army shows up after the initial first response of soldiers and marines, which makes sense, seeing as the Army is a lot bigger than the Marines. We do the same job, Marines just brag more, and you've got to love them for it.
@spetsnaznaz yeah we do show up first with only army special forces the Marines dont send in special forces first they send in the MATAG wich is a first response ordinance and that army trains for quantity and the Marines train for quality and you can ask any Marine or army recruiter the two branches of service have different ideas the Marine train warriors for quality while the army goes for quantity.
Yea, it's always the "future marines" that try and talk down on the Army. Your idea about quality vs quantity is entirely wrong, both branches aim for both. The fact is, you've never worked with either branch, besides maybe a recruiter. I've worked with soliders and marines, and I can honestly tell you that there are good and bad soldiers, and there are good and bad marines, and that the warfighting profession is a matter of individuals, not entire branches. Hooah from a current soldier.
@spetsnaznaz Im not talking down any branch im giving you the facts and i work with Marines and Soldiers every day of my life im going to be a Marine and i like every branch but when it comes down to what i said those are the facts and your just defending your own branch and i would rather be a Marine then a Solider any day OORAH! I know Marines and Soldiers you currently serve and are retired i know just as much as you do just because i dont wear a title dosnt make me worthless.
@Hoaxhead I never said you were worthless, actually I applaud your desire to serve, but stating that marines go in first is not a fact; like I said, Army elite units go in first, followed by the Marines and the Army's first response units, followed by the rest of the Army. Recheck your facts, because they are simply incorrect. Also, when crafting responses, try to use complete sentences, it's hard to interpret what you're saying.
@spetsnaznaz Yes sir! I understand what you are saying, and I thank you for your service to this country, and I was simply stating that the basic Infantry on the battlefields not the spec ops working behind the lines. Thats what i meant and at No point was I trying to offend you or any other Solider.
haha thats pretty good stuff, but we'll keep swabbing and you guys keep "fighting" if thats what the kids are calling it these days and we'll keep kicking your ass in football
Heh... Keep doing it, just remember that football is one sport and that Army beats Navy in 85% of athletic competitions, while keeping up with the number one academic program in the country. I can appreciate you wanting to be a Marine, in fact I applaud it, the USMA is a great organization, but don't let your love of the Corps blind you to the achievements and struggles of the Army, and always remember that Marines and Soldiers are apples of the same tree. One team, one fight. Hooah.
Yeah, Army doesn't beat Navy anywhere near "85%" of the time. In fact over the last 14 years, Navy holds a record of 257-144-6 (.639) over Army... Seriously, why interject this statement if you are ignorant to the facts?
The Marines are a part of the Dept of the Navy and can commissioned out of the Naval Academy. The Merchant Marine Academy is an entirely different branch, the Merchant Marines.
No marines are a part of the navy. The merchant marine academy trains people to pilot large civilian ships such as supertankers, so that a trained civilian base is ready should the need arise, like in WW2
sorry why15dj, USNA graduates nearly 300 (and is continuously increasing) every year. Out of a class of 950+, thats pretty close to 1/3. The army may be designed to sustain and hold while Marines invade, however, they have not lately been acting as they were "designed." Even your SF friends could tell you that. Rangers Lead the Way, Huah!
Right right, I agree. We should get rid of them entirely! No one would ever attack us from the water. And its not like the Army or Marines need to be transported anywhere anyway...they can just fly right? :)
how much involvement has the Navy had?..really?...what happens when your company comes upon a 'Hodgey' bunker, or encampment and you're too outnumbered to try to attack..you call up an F/A 18 to take care of it..thats how Navy does it
Its more like a 6th not a third go marine, but I will forgive you for that. Also the Army and Marine Corps have two completly sepereate missions that they both carry out, Marines are designed to invade to be the tip of a spear while the Army is designed to sustain the attack and hold the area taken. Also I know sever guys in the 82nd, 10th Mountain, Ranger Battalions, and SF that would strongly disagree with your statment. Nice try though beaz
haha you are a moron dude. talk to any grunt in the Marines, and from what I hear the Marine officers from USNA dont do so well out there... a third of Navy's grads? ok, and then how many actually do shit in the Marines? please.
USNA grads are exactly the same as any other Marine Officer. They dont automatically just get in. They go through USNA of course, USMC OCS, USMC Infantry School, and possibly even more. They are the same, if not better, than other Marines.
What about those MIDN that are going to be Marine Corps officers? eh?? Yeah Marines beat the f*** out of Army.
