  • Please play in tails! That give your video the perfect virtuosity.

  • Brilliant performance. Is this a MIDI organ / controller plugged into a PC soundcard MIDI interface, and then triggering the sounds from a VSTi SID based sequencer plugin?

  • Whats that noise in the sound? (you can hear it in the beginning.) Is that an dirty powersupply, or a software/hardware bug?

  • Requesting Rob Hubbard - Monty on the run

  • Blown away. You are the man. I have nothing but credit for anyone playing any instrument, but you're playing C64 tunes on some weird machine that sounds like the C64..... wait a minute.... is this a trick??? :) what's going on here? :) sod it, i don't care; you the man whether it's fake or real. now, have you done the wizball highscore tune or thanatos? :)

  • @dazanjo All real. Earlier version of the synthesizer is open-source, see v=_uU4BzSQQmY - seen in person by me and built by a few enthusiasts elsewhere. And Linus is known to play piano well.

  • the shame of this is,...there will be very few people who are 1) OLD enough to know where this comes from too, and 2) who actually ever played this great game along to such a great sound track for its time :) ... cheers to all who know this for what it is ,,,

  • FUCKING AMAZING man,,, so so well done,..i closed my eyes and was back playing the game,, at 5 am when i should have been sleeping for school :) ... trully,,, very grand setup man ...

  • haha - great!!

  • You should definitely work on some original music with that thing. With your skills, I'm sure you'll come up with something as awesome, or even better than the classic video game songs and whatnot.

  • Good job!!!! :D

  • Requesting Gravity Man from Megaman 5.

  • OMG

    I want a CD!!

  • I think that you should buy many electronic organs and do this to each one. You would be a millionaire.

  • Waited and waited and finally.. 4:20 my favorite part :)

  • Dude no pressure but. You gotta get someone to put this stuff together and send it out. What you're doing is awesome, don't have to worry about creating an album, but someone else should take care of it while you focus on the music.

  • Bloody tears from simon's quest, please.

  • Bloody Tears from Castlevania II would be awesome!

  • This one I liked a lot.

  • You're a genius. Hardware engineering, musical skills, memory skills (11 minutes of music by heart !). Thank you a lot for this trip to memory Lane !

  • Do you think you can do Bloody Tears from Castlevania II or the Mega Man 2 intro?

  • We gotta' hear some Pokemon music from the GameBoy Color versions. That easily is necessary on a Chipophone.

  • This tune fucking rocks.

  • Huge respect for doing the whole thing and not just the first part!

  • Another blinder! Brilliant

I'm still going to ask for my request of either Knuckle Busters or Parallax :-)

  • Did you use the Magical8Bit AU to program this?

  • @nosense82 No, I used a C compiler.

  • @lftkryo That must have been difficult... I treid learning C++ and could not get the hang of it. I even read extraneous books about it and still failed... I am more of a musician then a programmer...

  • LOL.. That's a smile of satisfaction

  • Keeping the scene alive! Thanks for That!

  • This is one of the games I would load just to hear the music.

    Great job as always, Linus!

  • Amazing ! The first half sounds like "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence".

  • @lftkryo what is c64?

  • @PTWookie Commodore 64

  • This is awesome! I am in awe at the pure flexibility of this instrument!

Also, I would love to see Jonathan Dunn;s 'Robocop' theme performed.

  • What amazing soundwaves, one of my favorite tracks ever too!

  • If I hadn't have seen it, I wouldn't have thought it was possible to play International Karate. Well done.

  • Are you and the Chipophone going to hit the road and tour some parties? :)

  • If you'd make an album , I'd buy it for sure!!!

Regards from a great fan from Denmark!!!

  • applause

  • You know, I'd love to hear some famous classical music on the Chipophone, in the same way classical music is awesome in chiptunes

  • @Rubberfishy Were in the process of building a four rank 'pipe' organ using SID chips to generate the tones.

  • @Rubberfishy We're posting lots of videos, documenting it as we go. (Sid Chip Organ)

  • I dare say this organ probably has more plays on it after the conversion than it ever did before. :)

  • Do Target Renegade and you will have won my respect!

  • Play a megamanX song. It isn't exactly 8 bit but I think it would complement the midi machine you made.
