  • frost006 I was just for the past week wondering what that song was..And Explosions In The Sky never crossed my mind..Then I downloaded "All Of A Sudden I Miss Everyone" cause I liked that band from long ago and it had the song!!!.It's "The Birth And Death Of The Day"

  • Gaah! What is that song!?

It kind of sounds like Explosions in the Sky. But I have no idea.

  • If you mean the song from 1:00 onward, it's called Comforting Sounds by a Danish band named Mew.

  • Oh, terribly sorry, I didn't realize your question had been answered already.

  • plz someone: 0:45 name song plz!?

  • yes frost is right, :45 is from explosions in the sky, the song that follows is by mew.

  • It's "The Birth and Death of the Sky". Great song.

  • Thanks Rewster05! Great song indeed...

  • Ok, but which song? please, I'd like to know

  • This movie looks Epic

  • SWORD OF MY FATHER!!!!...Remember the Vikings

  • look forward to watching this

  • So many are patiently and impatiently waiting for this film to finally come out. Just hoping that HES and WMA are given a proper presentation. So many groups and people have and are working diligently to reconstruct the art of Western swordsmanship to its fullest potential.

  • thanks for this. based on your anticipation i think you will be very well pleased with the film when it comes out. that said an hour and half is not enough time to cover such a vast subject. galatia has begun pre-production on a follow up film set for quick home video release. as you say, this is a great subject that deserves it.

  • ARMA techniques are in the actual film, shown for what they are: brilliant history coming to life. Trailers are meant to entice, allude and capture the imagination. It is only a hint of film. Stay tuned!

  • I find this trailer to be a total disappointment. Given that they interviewed John Clements of ARMA I was expecting real quality, but the realistic swordsmenship practiced by ARMA is not shown. The video just plays up the stage directors & actors who are one of the primary sources of mis-information about swordsmenship and who have none NOTHING in the reconstruction of the lost sword arts. The sparring shown looked crapy with the bamboo sticks and bad footwork.

  • While in some ways I agree in others I totally disagree. The "bamboo" sticks you are referring to have been used in practicing Japanese swordsmanship for centuries. This film is not centered solely on western sword fighting. That & if I were trying to get interest in a movie I would show the stage sword work to get people to come see it & then expose them to actual sword fighting. Don't judge a movie just by its trailer.

  • I think you are incorrect in that this movie was intended to show the rich history that was western swordsmanship which was lost and is now being revised by reading the original manuscripts and realistic practice. At least that's the way it was when I was present during some of the filming a couple of years ago. Hopefully you're right and the actual movie brings this to light. The trailer doesn't. The actual sword work being demonstrated is ineffectual stage combat or sparring with bad footwork.

  • jahciado and ewag2009 are BOTH correct, the film DOES show the rich history that was western swordsmanship which was lost and is now being revised thru realistic practice and study THANKS to folks like John Clements. Jahcriado is correct in stating that this trailer is NOT a mini version of the film. Trailers are not supposed to be. If they were they would be REAL boring. The trailer is all about garnering attention for a GREAT subject. ARMA techniques are shown fully in the film.

  • Can someone please tell me what the first music is? It's so familiar but I can't place it.

  • Hey there. That first bit of music is a classical piece called "Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis" by Vaughan Williams. It was used heavily in Master and Commander. It's a great piece.

  • THANK YOU! I knew I've heard it before.

  • I wear a gun, and carry a knife. Because carrying my sword is a big issue when out in public.

People who are determined to defend themselves from criminals, and tyranny, are NEVER cowards. Let's leave rhetoric to the side, the movie will be incredible. I look forward to the release.

  • I cannot wait to see this movie! Long live the fighters!

  • The invention of firearms ushered in a whole new era of cowards.

  • Really, are you implying that shooting someone from a distance with an arrow is brave, but somehow using a firearm is cowardly.

  • I stand corrected.I SHOULD have stated that I believe that swords were the weapon of choice for the more honorable of warriors in a bygone era.Not all shooters are cowards.Gun agaist gun as in a duel was fair ,& square. However no coward would choose to use a sword, unless his adversary was unarmed.

  • It's not about being brave, it's about being smart. And winning. And yes, cowards can hide behind a sword as easily as behind any other tool, that's all weapons are is tools, of war.

  • Riiight... cuz the risk of injury or death in a firefight is so much less than that of a hand to hand melee?

Guns did allow the unskilled to kill each other much more easily, it's true. Not that using a gun properly doesn't take skill- but accidentally killing someone with one takes a lot less.

  • We raise our sword in salute!

  • This looks great. I cant wait!

  • As the daughter of a sword maker, IT IS ABOUT TIME! My family and I will be there with bells on.

  • Wow... brilliant trailer! As an historian with a degree in medieval studies, I think this film will have a massive impact on the way the public views swords and western martial arts in general. I can't wait to see it!
