95% of people would scream of agony and pain if Justin Bieber jumped off the empire state building. apparently, i m in the 5% that would like 2 grab a chair and some popcorn, soda, and scream "do a back flip!" then enjoy the show. if u agree, then great job! spread this to also be the 5%
I saw SxTx live in '94 and '08. Anyway in '08 Baltimore, there was a guy n a wheelchair pretty close to the stage, he even pushed people back. Eventually Mike Muir brought him up on stage for the best seat n the house
Wow! This is great and absurd at the same time. Thanks for posting this bizarre scene, I was looking for a live version of "Institutionalized" and wasn't expecting this.
kudos for posting this but why is the dialog in french? like the fact that S.T. didn't let the gunshot at the end stop them from playing their final note
(also - the majority of these ppl don't look like they would fit in at a suicidal concert - i know they're just extras.... just saying)
@ both kingnuke and fore66. You guys prolly weren't around in the 80's. I've seen Black Flag playing for a bunch of diaper wearing oldtimers at a VFW circa 1982. Well, them and 10 of my closest friends.
I was young as fuck, and I feel like I missed the bus on that whole shit. I wish I could have expierenced that era when it was fresh at my age now. Most of my influences came out around that time. Now I'm up in this 2010 bullshit ready to fucking vomit on the music industry. I fucking hate these days.
Looks like they stole the crowd from a Flock of Seagulls Show. Glad I didn't see this back when it first came out. I woulda been extremely disappointed. Now it's just plain funny.
Wow, that is just flat out disappointing!!! The crowd looks like they are dancing to Duran Duran!!! I bet they got paid, I guess they were trying to promote the upcoming Join The Army LP at the time?
So ummmmm where's the bald guys with no t-shirts, Doc Martins, and crossed out swastikas. I think there needs to be at least 30 of those dudes pummeling the shit outta those coke heads. This isn't Scarface! It should be a hard core show!!! Still, it's kinda funny. I mean it's Miami Vice, how realistic can you get. Do you really think police officers drive Ferraris? Or where Italian suites? Maybe Mike Muir coulda wore an Italian suite (with a flannel shirt and a dew rag LOL).
oh yeah, let me and my cousins talk to doc brown and get a flux capacitor, will go back in time and put some lames in the hospitil.! its so funny they dancing like its a fucken hop or some shit. =]
How professional of ST to throw that impromptu ending in there after the dude shot the gun. Most bands would just stop playing and leave everyone hanging.
this song was recorded in 1983! and i was born in 1985, this song sounds more like 1993, this just shows how far ahead of it's time this song really is!
I got news for you: Miami Vice is not realistic. This ST song in particular practically demands a mosh pit: you get in the pit in the slow part and then thrash around during the fast part. And back then we called it slamming.
this song is fuckin hilarious...noone can listen to this song and say their mother never barged into their room and made drug accusations....good shit
this is ridiculous. First of all, this is HARDCORE, not Eagles, Kiss or hip hop crap. Second, people on the club are dancing like an Oingo Boingo concert. Where's the fuckin' pogo? The old guy on a wheelchair would be smashed into pieces. The girls on high heels hahahaha they make me laugh. This is so unreal, that's why I hate TV Series. And SxTx is fuckin' great, if you don't like this song, you missed the point about Suicidal or real hardcore. Go listen to Ten Years After or other hippie shit.
the worst song ever, you can't even call it a song it's just gay talking listen to real music nubs: Blue Oyster Cult, The Eagles, The Police, AcDc, Guns N Roses, Kiss, and Nirvana get a live ppl.
my band just played this song the other day at a show and u don't even know how hard it is to do this song. you have no idea. musically it's genius. and the vocals have to go in rythm. the only thing that is different than most songs is the vox hardly have pitch change. btw... life not live... you play live and you get a life.
yeah once i noticed i could not change it. but anyway the vocals on this song suck ass i don't doubt how good the guitar is but im pointing out the vocals mainly....they makes no sense
HAHAHAHAHA, i do remember watching this episode way back in the day, i laughed at the ol man spinning in his electric wheel chair, and even today its funny as hell. thanks for making me feel old

For a second, I thought this was going to be 21 Jump Street. They played this song in one of those episodes. Anyways, What the fuck? Did they really play music like this in clubs like that back then?!
Speaking as a hardcore guy who was lived in Miami at the time of this episode, I am sorry to report that yes, it really was this lame. Back in the early mid-80's, "hardcore" was the early bird special at Denny's. It was lamer than a horse with no legs. That said, seeing ST in Miami Vice is pretty surreal.
That was some intense slammin right there.
