  • They re-arranged this for Bruce. Transposed down one half step. so that he could go up that high in the refrain.

  • Gracias a Dios Bruce volvió a Maiden. Blaze? quién es ese?

  • @coloargento ¡Noticias frescas! Bruce volvio hace años a Maiden!

  • BRUCE=IRON

  • @johnmox Steve is.

  • where was this show?

  • i love the part between 4:17 and 4:37. bruce style!!

  • Dickinson didn't murder this song, it's just that the idiots can't stand the fact that Dickinson kicked Bayley's ass. UP THE IRONS!!!

  • Comment removed

  • For this song....is much better the Blaze aggressive voice!!!!

  • I love Bruce, but not on this song. Blaze sang most of Bruce's songs out off tune, but even though Bruce hits the notes he, the performance is drained of feeling.

  • @brucedickinson12

I do not say that Blaze is better than Bruce! But this song is much better Blaze than Dickinson!!!!

  • I love both Bruce doing this and Blaze doing it, UP THE IRONS, its a maiden no matter what

  • I don't understand why the top rated comments on the video are related to the fact that the song was meant to be sung by Blaze... No way! This is by far the best version of Lord of the Flies!

  • Comment removed

  • When he gets higher, it's good. The worse is lower voice ;]

  • I don't understand people... First, all Iron Maiden fans were crying and complaining because Blaze was not good enough for the band. That was one of the most powerful reasons to bring Bruce back. And now people complain about how Bruce performs the songs... What a madness.

And Bruce doesn't "murder" this song, he just sings it in a different style, wich is good too.

  • The production killed this DVD using that kind of changes between scenes, too fast to appreciate the concert.

  • @gzamoranelson aye totally agree m8

  • they should just forget these crap songs. Bruce is too good for them

  • Why does he have to ruin Blaze's songs with that wail? Yes, Bruce is god but can he leave the songs not made for him alone? The wail is effective in some songs such as The Talisman or No More Lies, but not in this one, for god's sake..

  • What tour was this?

  • @kanaric Dance of Death World tour in the fall of 2003.

  • how many blaze era songs are played in live shows erm not 1 .bruce is king

  • Bruce Dickinson > Chuck Norris > Blaze

  • if baley was any good steve harris would not have taken bruce dickinson back ,fact

  • tenth dimension 666, i couldnt give a f u c k bout baleys solo stuff im talkin bout maiden , there is only 1 singer and thats bruce

  • @craig4935 But Blaze solo stuff is still worth checking out, even if you don't like him in Maiden. He sounds much better now. And the band is still friends with Blaze.

  • bruce could just talk the words and still sound better than bailey

  • Comment removed

  • bruce, eres el mejor, muy bien por blaze pero Bruce es Bruce

  • diferentes versiones (me qedo con la de blaze en su disco en vivo muy buena igual que edge of darkness)

  • Prefiro o Blaze pra cantar essa.

  • That's fucking good!!! Up the Irons!!!

  • 3:57 - 4:16 Blaze version

    4:17 - 4:37 Bruce Version

  • Comment removed

  • @patriik0 fuck off

  • @ironmaiden666fuck I like the power of Blaze voice in this song.

  • @patriik0 Blaze who? Please, that man couldn't shine Bruce Dickinson's codpiece. Bailey was nothing more than a seat filler, and not a very good one at that. Sorry, but this song really belongs to Janick Gers, and Steve Harris. They wrote it, Bailey didn't even write the lyrics to this one.

  • @mattyrich76 ... so did dickinson on the most songs he's performing? ;)

  • man, Bruce is one of my favorites, but each vocalist with his own stuff is way better, this is Blaze's song...

  • bruce murders this song, shows how good blaze is

  • @thisusersuck are you joking?who are you to say that?

  • @rambusinek I'm a singer who has played in front of crowd of 10,000 people.

The reason I said that is bruce trends to want to sing in a high opera style but this song need a low voice full with emotion. Blaze can do that he band version of this song is much better to, Bruce doesn't sound right trying to sing that low

  • @thisusersuck blaze who ??????

  • @thisusersuck -_-

  • 1:04. Dicknson is Cena?!

  • @Killing688

    aahahahahaha xD

  • Bruce=GOD, Blaze=The virgin mary LOL

  • BRUCE THE BEST!!!

  • I prefer Blaze's version. He is better at darker songs than Bruce. Love them both though

  • IRON FKN MAIDEN FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRR

  • We're all entitled to our opinions ;)

  • i tought i was the only one who tought that the voice in te beggining was from blaze!!

  • blaze is many better in this song...

  • Omfg he is a god.

  • ehhi can see why people dont like blaze his voice doesnt have that energy or high octaves bruce has but what would u guys rather have the band break up cause btuce left or keep the band together i give blazee that for giving the band hope i think during the blaze the era there were a ton of great songs written just werent performed great like they should have so i think they should recover these two albums with bruce singing it would make em better

  • Blaze better for this song, just it.

  • I think this song does not fit with Bruce's voice. Blaze sings this in a darker and more powerful way. I am not saying Bruce is a bad singer, but in this track Blaze is definitely much better.

  • @WarthDader74 no way .bruce raises the bar.blayse is monotone while bruce just elevates this song.how do you not hear it?but i respect your opinion although i greatly dissagree.bruce adds plenty of salt and pepper tu make this song better

  • @fearedlegend Ok, let me explain in another way. Bruce has a high-pitched singing voice, and Blaze has a low-pitched. I think Blaze's vocals gives a lot more weight to this track, and I prefer it that way. But... different people....different opinions :-)

  • sorry Brucie but Blaze rocks this one out of the Park...thumbs down

  • I love bruce and I think he is the one true maiden vocalist but why do he have to "mok" blaze, atleast that is what I got from that last chorus, blaze still was one of them who spawned these awesome songs.

  • Bruce sounds like he's struggling in places because he's trying to octave Blaze's vocal. So just like the Blaze era Harris and co refuse to change the key forcing the singer to work beyond their comfortable range. At least there's no preferential treatment.

  • lets here mr. bailey wail like that. not gonna happen bruce breathes life into this song and makes blaze sound like me in the shower

  • @StarkMK1 Another BB hater, eh?

  • @DeterminationForever apparantly, I wouldn't consider myself a "BB hater" but truth be told Bruce is a much better singer with a better range and more power. He has a wide array of ways he can sing and can hit his own notes live. Same cannot be said about our friend mr. Bayley HOWEVER. I respect and enjoy Blaze and I look forward to seeing him live in a few months. The songs written on XF and VXI are far superior to NPFTD and FOTD. excpet for Angel and the Gambler good lord..

  • fuck off with your blaze version is better bullshit. the guy sounds like the singer from the iron maiden cover band i saw last year! get fuckin real fellas

  • the best singer sounds Live in this moment in the world i think

  • x factor and virtual Xi have a interesting history, in 95-98 the sites and magazines put 2-3 stars, now the same sites and magazines gives 7-8.5 and are growing the rate, who remember harris rage playing with blaze in the shows after his father death? they should ask blaze as special guest in some shows

  • blazes version is better

  • Comment removed

  • fucking horrible, bruce doesn't even try these days

  • champfodz1212: yep, i'm not afraid to say: Bruce is a GOD !!!!

  • It is reality...fuck all the rest bruce is the best....of the best...

  • quando comprei esse dvd eu pensei 'ah, nao.. ele nao vai cantar o refrão alto'...

    pois é... up the irons!!

  • It's really not a fair comparison. They're two very different singers. Bruce is a god on the high notes, but Blaze is a god on low notes. I think they're equally matched in power and godliness, just in different ways. This song and The Clansman were perfect for Blaze's voice and Bruce just doesn't do them justice. But Blaze can't touch Hallowed be thy Name or The Trooper. It's and equal match, just in different parts of their range.

  • Bruce certo...

  • *of

  • Bruce version if this song is better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better better than Blaze's shit like version.......Thanks God we have Bruce...

  • Blaze is alot better at this imo. When bruce sings in the lower ranges, he sounds too weak. When he tries to compensate by singing higher, he sounds strained. It's just not his song.

  • @xlia24 tenes toda la razon

  • Blaze is a singer.....Bruce is a Vocalist.

  • @Winonasalibi you stated the same profession twice "Blaze is a club singer...Bruce is an Opera singer" would be a better anology

  • i watch this video 5 times a day :)

  • I've noiced that when someone says 'Blaze is better than Bruce' no one gets pissed off and says something like 'STFU asshole Bruce pwns Blaze'

it just goes to show that IM is a better band :)

  • Blaze was great in his maiden-albums

  • BRUCE DICKINSON ES UN MAESTRO, LORD OF THE FLYES CON BRUCE ES MUCHISIMO MEJOR!!!

  • Blaze es Blaze

  • blaze=good

    BRUCE=GOD

  • Comment removed

  • @ironmaiden666fuck

    mmm.. no

    Blaze = SHIT

    Bruce = GOD

  • @Boggeta Dude, Bruce is the fucking best vocal in heavy metal but Blaze is REALLY good!!

  • @Boggeta Bruce is obviously better, but if you can't see how good Blaze is, you're deaf. Blaze has a great raspy quality to his voice, that even Bruce doesn't imitate. Either way, up the irons!

  • I agree, Bruce's is amazing, but Blaze's version is, I think, More fitting......

  • Bruce is a vocal God! But there is certainly nothing wrong with Blaze Bayley. Blaze is a great vocalist, and song writer, and contributed a lot to Iron Maiden when he was in the band. I like them both. Bruce is my favorite, but I can't say anything bad about Blaze.

  • Fucking Retard peoples dislike this music, i can't undertand that

    As always, bruce is god

    up the irons!

  • much better no ;) fucking awesome :DDDD

  • GOD they can turn a dead man into life.... with the start they provide....

    UP THE IRONS...

  • @progressivelectro In your dreams only. UP THE IRONS!!!

  • @Maidensfan1 Ehm.... Yes, this song is much much better when Blaze sings it. It IS ment for lower voice, not for higher voice.

  • @DeterminationForever Even like that, I prefer Dickinson over Bayley any day...

  • @progressivelectro Yeah right, tell Blaze to sing Bruce's songs and then we talk. This is the problem with rookies, they think they know about Iron Maiden, when in fact they even weren't born when Iron Maiden was in their prime. I've been following Maiden since 1983 so please don't argue with me telling me which singer is better cause Dickinson is and always will be the best, no matter what you think...

  • @Maidensfan1 Of course Bruce is the best. @progressivelectro was just saying that he thought Blaze did this particular song better. And, after all, this song was written to fit Blaze's deeper voice. But I think Bruce did a great job on it.

  • @progressivelectro fuck you!

  • @emgl100 suck bruce's dick, gay motherfucker!

  • @progressivelectro i'm not a ''motherfucker'' buy my dad is you'r retard, but i love this song better with bruce

  • @emgl100 you love a big dick in your big asshole motherfucker!

  • @progressivelectro nope i don't, and again my dad is an motherfucker not me get it into your brain

  • @emgl100 Your dad is gay, you too.

  • @progressivelectro my dad isn't gay but i think you are a fagot, you have problems with your aggression??

  • does anyone noticed how much bruce have difficulties to produce the power of his voice in choruses?? When i was younger i believed that he is going to sing in the same manner for the rest of his life :-)!

  • Sweet jesus... Was it mixed or sth? It sounds completely butchered in a moments... I have a strange feeling that Bruce seems to show everyone how poor the Blaze Era songs are... He could easily sing them brilliantly, but it seems he just doesn't want to. Just a strange feeling... Sign of the Cross @ Rock in Rio was ok at this point, though.

  • putain y me donne mal au crane ce dvd !!

  • 3 guitarists. god. love it.

  • 4:17 VOCAL OVERDRIVE

  • this is one step down from the original so that bruce can nail it an octave (or better 10 semitones) above blaze..... i like it better that way...it is more maiden

  • @MrHeavymetalwarriors Paul Diánno was also better at this songs just like Blaze Bayley and his songs. but still Bruce Dickinson will always be the best singer maiden ever had.

  • 3:55 - Blaze Version

    4:17 - Bruce Version

    also thinks someone like me?

  • @champfodz1212 a q te referis con ese comentario???

translated into English and answer ok

  • @champfodz1212 u are wrong

  • @champfodz1212 Both are awesome.

  • @champfodz1212 absolutely ;-)

  • But people, this is from Death on the road, and as we know, Bruce wasn't in good form then ;)

  • i believe that x factor had a lot of potential. maybe if bruce didnt leave and had some influence on it, x factor would be amazing. dont get me wrong, blaze is a good singer(listen to his solo albums). blaze couldnt fit in maiden cause maiden is more known by bruce at vocals.

  • I must say I prefer Bruce for this song, but not by much. Blaze sings it great, too.

  • Bruce pulls it off much better . Blaze to be honest wasn't that great of a singer as far as his stuff with Maiden .

  • much better with bruce in this song!

  • blaze bailey fits better in the song. retards think that screaming is everything in metal vocals

  • @munha666 I agree, blaze's vocals were much better for these songs because they were songs suited to his vocal style. Bruce is great, but on this, the clansman, etc blaze blows him away for some reason.

  • Comment removed

  • @EpictheEpicest: hm, what? have you ever heard the clansman on rock in rio?

  • @puckoster yea I have the dvd :p. Bruce's voice SEEMS better on the song because he can sing the high parts an octave higher and because he is more fit so he can really bellow with those lungs, but on the recorded version blaze has better sound and depth to his voice, if you listen to the verses on the recorded version and compare them to rock in rio, blaze has much more tone and depth to his voice, whereas with bruce it's basically like he's talking.

  • 4:17 a 4:37 .. BLAZE NUNCA CONSEGUIU CANTAR DESSE JEITO!!! nunca

  • só reparar na ultima vez que o Bruce canta o refrão, para ver que ele é INFINITAMENTE superior como cantor que o Blaze. não tem como comprar os 2. Bruce é MUITO melhor!!!

  • Yes, Bruce doesnt seem too happy to sing it. But He's Maiden singer, period.

  • What the hell???... this is in a lower tune!! the intro sounds really bad!!!!!!!

  • I love this intro!

  • Bruce has the perfect voice for Iron Maiden! doesn't matter if this song is from Blaze or Paul Di'Anno's album.. bruce dickinson can sing so much better.

  • 2:30-2:40 Love it!!

  • Blaze kicks bruce´s ass!

  • @progressivelectro In what universe? cause in this one right here, Bruce is GOD. Blaze sounds like a Karaoke singer compared to Mr Dickinson.

  • @maidenfan1982 excuse me but "GOD" insults sir Dickinson. That's all I have to say here.

  • @TheFuturealist I gotta say you are right, mate. Up the mighty IRONS!!!!!!!

  • This version is better than the album, bruce nails it!

but blaze is an amazing singer too and both versions kick some serious ass!

  • E agora, quem é o melhor? essa música com bruce não tem energia nenhuma, fraquinha fraquinha. Blaze é o cara.

  • so much love for Janik's guitar playing

  • No se han dado cuenta que esta cancion esta en otro tono mas arriba que la original?

  • This is how this song was supposed to sound !!!

  • Opinions are like assholes and comparing watermelons to apples and oranges.

You don't compare a Hattori Hanzo sword to another Hattori Hanzo sword, you compare it to every other sword ever made!

  • the intro played by gers is ridiculous

  • @freedomscream6 ridiculous is your mother, that bitch!

  • ブルースが歌うと超カッコイイ!!

  • The verses are average but fuck me the chorus is done amazingly with bruce here

  • If God Father, God Son, Holy Spirit, Saint Peter and John Paul II made Heavy Metal band, they would not surpass Iron Maiden.

  • Paul Bruce Dickinson is the BEST vocalist of heavy metal around the world, there's nothing he can't do.. and if you don't believe that... so don't listen it !

  • Blaze es muy buen cantante pero Bruce es Maiden.Simbiosis perfecta.

  • I've listened a few more times and seen other live versions, and it definitely feels much better now))) I trust Bruce did the best he could and my problem is entirely mine because, Hell! when Blaze sings it my heart starts thumping anytime. LotF is SO damn powerful and had quite an impact on me at one time. Probably Blaze's soul inhabited this song and won't ever leave it - he is the damned lord of the flies )))

  • saints and sinners (8)... bruce gets higher than ever, blazer couldnt ever do that ... sorry, works hell better with bruce

  • saints and sinners (8)... bruce gets higher than ever, blazer couldnt ever do that ... sorry, works hell better with bruce

  • Sorry Bruce - You didn't nailed it here. Blaze is not as 'godish' as Dickinson is, but certain Maiden songs sound way better with Bayley. 'Fear Of The Dark" for example, gains lots of darkness and power with Blaze... and obviously Blaze era songs.

  • @vengadorpancho Crazy as I am about Bruce, I agree he didn't make it. Just like Blaze dldn't sing "Bruce's songs" right, Bruce couldn't do it with "Blaze's songs", imho. He looks as though he just sings a song here, doesn't try to live it (which I could feel about Blaze, he at least tried). I wish he did those songs as if Blaze had never done them, making them something different, in his own way (like after DiAnno). All in all, I don't know the reason... I also agree he's got to grow more hair))

  • @IrMa2119 Agree with lack of feeling. It's funny how people get astounded by Bruce high screams (Bruce strains a lot here, by the way, as he's been doing for a while) and underrate Blaze or Di'Anno. Maybe Dickinson's the most musically acomplished and gifted, but without being the best vocalists in the world, Blaze and Paul are still great and sing their own songs with more power and meaning.

  • @vengadorpancho High screams hehe too harsh.Im biased but itsnot always been so. Lstened to IM for months in early 20s knew all their songs but never was a big fan sound&themes were too light for me,was into thrash&death&black. Now over 30 &discovering IM anew attracted by the magnetic personality which is BruceD.Simple thing is DiAnno's perfect when youve listened a while,so is Bruce,so is Blaze after a while they all different but amazing in their own way once youvelistened to each 1 for awhile

  • @vengadorpancho Couldn't agree more. I guess I am the only one here who thinks that Bruce is overrated in some sort of way, he CAN sing perfectly... BUT people don't give anykind of credit for Di'Anno or especially for Blaze. That's why I think Bruce is kinda overrated amongst the fans. "Blaze sucks, he can't sing like Bruce" you know, that makes me fuckin' pissed.
