There is a HUGE difference between being a good coordinator and being a good head coach. You have to look no further than Iowa State's fanbase's response... they are extatic! Plus, when Gene was having success against Bama it was against Mike Shula, not Nick Saban. This is bad for the Barn and good for Bama.
