@09Libertarian I know it, even if it´s here in germany a little bit tricky, cause they have the talent to show old films under different titels, because some Idiot must think it´s funny not even to translate the name of the movie into german, but to translate it every time new. Or sometimes even worse to create a new name who somebody think would be funny, like Roster Cockburn, german translation "mit dynamit und flotten sprüchen" in english :"with dynamite and funny patterns".

@09Libertarian Hey if you like this i have one more: "Reap the wild wind" in German "Piraten des karibischen Meers" in english "Pirates of the Caribbean.", maybe it is hilarious, but it make it not so easy to find old films. But the best thing on buying films in germany is we get three versions of each film. The original version in english, the german version which is sometimes very different from the orinial, and the funny version, which is english sound with german subtitels.*g*

@Ydgrasil ... Thanks, not quite as funny as "funny patterns" but still good for a laugh. I always like "Flugzeug" which I understand translates to "Fly Thing". One of my employees is a Romanian who spent 20yrs in Germany, I must ask him if he has any movies with the multiple formats, I'm sure I would get some good laughs from them.

I can see why it might be a challenge to locate a specific movie.
