  • The beginning sounds a bit like Howl's Moving Castle! I love Hisashi's music!

  • In traditional horoscope/zodiac/tarot readings, the moon represents the unconscious or sub-conscious. I think Hisaishi-sensei is expressing that. His pieces move me on a level that opens doors beyond logic. And yet, once they are known, they are within the logic of the soul. It is learning.

  • an endless pond stretching as far as the eye can see with only two people in sight. one is a young boy who is with his little sister playing in a never ending dream of youth. a stone gently skips across the water symbolising the boys tears as he realises his dream is the end as his sister died days ago. he realises this is the end but letting go is truly painful and the mind breaking lonliness gives a pain so sharp, so sad that he can't even cry. the boy sees a train and chooses to join her.

  • Joe Hisashi dreams and does the impossible.

  • I want to be in a Miyazaki film and I want this to be the theme song! :)

  • I want to be in a Studio Ghibli move and I want this to be the theme song! :D

  • complete and link to the mp3 cd of the concert

  • that is love transmited to the piano

  • Joe Hisashi is becoming my favorite composer right now...

Nobuo Uematsu and him are modern time geniuses.

Some people stereotype stuff just because Uematsu for example makes music for video games. They do not recognize geniuses.

Please, any one of you, can you watch the video called "Joe Hisashi - The End of the Story" or this link "/watch?v=5C9ltv2Ei94"

& tell me the name of the song and where it was used. Because I searched on google, I think "The End of the Story" isn't the real title.

  • This is beautiful!

  • masterpiece <3

  • It's an impossible dream to write that kind of breath taking music.

But, Joe Hisaishi beat the impossible.

He is truly the master of the impossible.

Thumbs up if you agree. :D

  • Look like to Howl's moving castle theme, but as beautiful.

  • listening to this makes me get emotional, sob sob..i'm apologise for such quality music. Respect for the upload you know your stuff....

  • The music is getting alive!

  • Joe hisaishi soothes the soul.

  • This composition gives me goosebumps. Joe Hisaishi has this incredible power to make your soul feel the meaning of the music straight away. "Impossible dream" sounds like an impossible dream, something sad and unreachable, but terribly beautiful and beyond compare. :) I really look up to him, and i wish i could understand the human soul and heart half as easily and perfectly as he does. :)

  • i have so much respect for hisaishi sensei

  • how can even two people hate this?!?! >:U

  • @BeCuzImAsian don't worry they're mouses r just stucked

  • @BeCuzImAsian Maybe they're not asian enough to understand >:(=) *It's angry Scorpion*

  • like me Kate ;)

  • i guess those two people never had an impossible dream...

  • *tears*

  • This is so indescribably beautiful! I want to learn how to play this :)

  • 2 people clearly dont like real music and probably make techno or something.lovely song brilliant composer

  • I discovered Mr. Hisaishi's music through the films of the master animator Hayao Miyazaki, which I'm sure most of you are aware. I just wanted to comment on how great I think this music is. He is probably one of the greatest composers alive today.

  • wonderful!...

  • "This is my quest, to follow that star! No matter how hopeless, no matter how far..."

  • To dream the impossible dream... to write the unforgettable song~

  • This is an impossible dream ^>.<^

  • i have an impossible dream

  • wow!

  • Why don't they teach about him in schools?!

  • You can hear the inspiration from Clair De Lune

  • 我快哭了

  • This song is very Japanese, only a Japanese could have made it. Modern melodrama.

  • wuuauuu

  • che bella.....mi ricorda...ah niente...complicato da spiegare.... bella!

  • he's my idol composer as of now and forever

  • this man's albums cost up to 40-50 dollars. but its so worth it. his music is so breathtaking.

  • ME encantó

  • some of the chords just are breath taking

  • Joe Hisaishi- the modern romantic

  • @PurityGuru

Not only that, but one of the few truly original composers we have today. Definitely has a very distinct style, yet can adapt to classical, big band or even swing music.

  • @PurityGuru right man....a romantic that crush you in the deep of your heart.

  • @PurityGuru

Indeed. And it's somewhat sad and ridiculous that western critics are largely ignoring a neo-romanticist movement in East Asia (which has already started and is well on its way to ending!), hung up on their incomprehensible, silly post modernism.

  • @PurityGuru You should look at him with Joe still had his hair! very handsome indeed.

  • the sad melody reflect wht im thinking..

that's really a dream in my life

    but it's impossible

    it just a real dream

  • @rainydreamovo It's only "just a dream" because you let it be. Only you can make it a reality. It is possible.

  • @CANAirforce I cant. im too selfish to do that dream

  • @rainydreamovo Not to be too forward, but may I ask what said dream is?

  • @CANAirforce the dream is that just me and all the animals live in this earth and no more human

i dun need to say anything to express my feelings to the animals, we use heart to understand each other. And i can kiss the rain, enjoy the shine of snow, enjoy the stars before i sleep, play my lovely piano and violin on a beautiful snow scene, immerse myself under the Milky Way.

But it just a impossible dream.

  • makes me want to dance love it

  • i love it,

  • Reminds me alot of Nobuo Uematsu's Theme of Love, but it's still amazing :)

  • @94mav98 YEEEEEEEEEEEEES me too :D

  • @94mav98 yeah it does in the beginning!

  • Comment removed
