  • im a girl...im straight ...but i have to say ...you are very pretty!!! :D

  • ive had the navy blue extensions put in before and i wanted to try dyeing streaks of navy blue in my hair but im not sure what brand of dye to use. (i have dirty blond hair)

  • I died my whole head blue an everyone called me blueberry:/ but im gunna do it agin !! And your pretty

  • what about SPLAT? im gona use it on my dirty-blond unbleached hair (its wahibul electrect blue)

  • @kameillakittycat It will probably show up. I use blue SPLAT on my dark brown hair, and it shows up really well.

  • awwwww..... my hair's black D:

  • Don't cut your hair. Plus the blue hair dye looks nice on ya. I think I might try it out my self.

  • Do they sell it in the store?

  • would it work with just the regular manic panic

  • How long are these colors? And what brand you use? (sorry for the ignorance but I'm Italian and I understood almost nothing of the video xD) Thanks! : D

  • U helped a lot thanx

  • i have kind of dark blonde brownish hair, and i really dont think im gonna bleach it, im just gonna dip dye my ends with blue and see what it turns out like :)

  • So, if i wanted to dye all my hair blue without it being very noticable, this would be the way to do it,right?

  • im getting highlights like that...cant wait!

  • I have blonde hair so i dont have to bleach it i just clicked this cuz my friend mikayla has really dark brown hair and she bleaches it so i was curious xD

  • Does manic panic show up without bleaching it?

  • My natural hair color is dark ash blonde/light ash brown and I bleached it a couple of months ago to a medium blonde color. Obviously, the roots are beginning to show and I was thinking of dyeing it an odd color now that the majority is still quite light. I'm afraid though it's going to turn out green instead of blue. Has anyone got experience with blue dye over yellowish/red-ish (dark)blonde?

  • hey awesome video :) umm...can you make a video on how to dye your hair with food coloring? because i have the same hair color as you and im not sure how...and if it works or not...my mom wouldnt let me try it unless i found a source that would tell me how...so...please help me? thanks!!(:

  • your the most beatiful women in the world next to my mom

  • hi since you seem nice can u please demonstrate on part of your blue hair and bleach it because my whole head is blue and green i have a mohawk the whole mohawk is blue and green what happen if you bleach dyed hair? plz help. thank you

  • what if yur hair is already bleached in some parts.. but like from a different bleach? can you put this one over it?

because the bleach in my hair was made to dye my hair red.. and when i try and dye it blue it turns green..

  • wait so if i have brown hair and im gonna dye it blue(Manic Panic hair dye) do i have to bleach it first??

  • @TheGreenday1999 Yes, but if you wanted to use any shade of red (from pink all the way to purple) you shouldnt necessarily have to, but for blue...most definitely ><

  • @Smexyflower Oh okay

  • With your hair up you, loook like selena gomez

  • Comment removed

  • *think I couldmdo that to my whole head like you did with your test area?

  • I want to kinda tint my hair green I have red hair. Do u thing

  • i have lightish dark dyed natural red not like the COLOR red its natural red but not ginger any ways will it work on that?

  • I have used a blue RAW on undyed black hair. Yes it made my hair a blue black which could only be seen outside or under a bright light. Otherwise my hair was darker.

  • How long did you leave the dye in your hair to make the color tint? I've been trying to make colored dye tint on my hair.

  • Does hot topic definitely not ship outside of US? Because I really really want raw color teal dye :(

  • @NigelSalad well, thats what i've heard anyway. You can always try or call to see if its true and if it is true you can see if you have any friends or family friends of your parents in the U.S who might be willing to ship it to you. FYU, i recently bought a new bottle and it was $13ish (12.99 plus tax) so that should be around 9 Euros or 8 Pounds

  • @gemgen101 Aw darn oh well thanks for your help.

  • @NigelSalad you have no one to ship to you? i could try to find someone to help you out if you want

  • @gemgen101 Oh no I do like I have cousins in US but it's cool. I found an english website so it's all good 8)

  • @NigelSalad i live outside the US as well, theres a website called BlueBanana (it's also a store but very rare to find) They have la riche direction dye -They do similar colours! Hope that somehow helps :P

  • @NigelSalad Dude, It doesn't it really sucks they closed down the uk site :(

  • @LydiaLorraine oh c i was talking about this other uk site that isnt hot topic but yeah it sux they closed down ht uk site :(

  • @gemgen101 manic panic and special effects :)

  • I put Manic Panic purple haze in my hair, unbleached (I have dark brown/black hair). When it fades will it show up or no? Because when I died my hair a subtle red color a few years ago, it wasn't noticeable until it started fading. Thanks!

  • @DinorawrG9x rule of thumb: never get manic panic. it is for children who's moms want the color to wash out really quickly. it will never ever stay in a long time ( not even with their amplified) nor will it be bright if you don't bleach hair to begin with. also consider with any product that a dark color doesn't really show up on dark color such as dark dye over dark hair. if you have any color questions refer to the color wheel and mixing of colors

  • Raw was really terrible for me

Pink faded to an ugly peach color

Blue faded to a really weird greenish color

Red faded to a orangey vomit color

  • @golnazrocks what brand did you like?

  • i have the same color of your hair , Will it show up ? plz answer this!!!

  • @yeahiknow500 did it show up in this video? theres your answer

  • @gemgen101 idk thats why im asking cuz you didnt even say if it did

  • @yeahiknow500 i watched the video again to see if you were right about me not giving an answer in the video, but at the end of the video i give a verdict and that is: unless you have light hair, blonde hair or bleached hair it will only be a very UNNOTICEABLE tint of a color. If you have medium brown or light brown hair it might be a LITTLE more noticeable but, if you have dark hair like mine then no, it will not show up.

  • What kind of bleach did you use? your hairs so pretty :D

  • Please please answer! So my hair is like a chestnut color but a bit darker, and i want to add blue highlights. I dont want to bleach my hair cuz i like my natural hair color, so can i still use raw and have the blue show? If not do u know another brand? Thank u -3 xox

  • @HeartBeatzx3 did it show up in this video? theres your answer. and besides special effects i dont know any other demi permanent dyes besides permanent dyes

  • @HeartBeatzx3 if your hair is a chestnut color but a bit darker then its almost the same darkness that mine is. in the video, the dye barely shows up. i say that my hair is tinted. based off the color of hair as well as the color of dye used the tint wont show up that well. if you are looking for a tint then you can use raw but otherwise, with your dark hair color, it wont really show up. the other brand i heard of was special effects although i heard Raw was still better.

  • Do you have any tips on sleeping with dye on your hair overnight? Doesn't it get on your pillow and sheets? Also, is it safe?

  • @camocema6288 good news: i've tried this twice (once was this weekend) and i LOVE dyeing it over night. 10pm-10am or 12 pm-12am. i dye it then neatly put it in one side of a plastic bag, close off/zip off the bag (except the part that has the hair going in) at the top with no air and roll the bag (NOT vertically) so that the plastic is long like hair. tie off with hair tie at tip (tightly) and sleep in it. it won't get on the pillow if u do this. nxt morning, pull bag and rinse and normal...

  • @camocema6288 if you dye overnight it wont damage hair, at least that i know, because the pigments stay in the hair longer. if u do this method you will also find that the color is A LOT BRIGHTER AND MORE VIVID than if you were to leave it in for 4 hours which i've done before. You'll also find that the color doesn't fade as much in the shower and it lasts longer. give it a try and tell me if it worked. if ur still worried bout dye on ur pillow at all put a towel u dont care about on ur pillow.

  • thx for the helpful video. First of all you are very pretty. Can you tell me what color is you hair couse it looks very pretty with the blue.

  • @niha20071 its ash brown or dark ash brown. so not black :D

  • please please please answer this!

so i was thinking, i REALLY want my hair blue, like the blue you have on your bleached part, my hairs like a really really light brown, nearly blonde.

i really don't want to bleach my hair! so im thinking if i use blue dye without bleach and blowdry it in will it still come up? ahhhh i really want blue hair, but i want to get back to my natural colour. please get back to me :) xo

  • @reemi773 light brown hair that is almost blond should be good to use the dye on without bleach so try that. i recently did it over night and the color stays on pretty well. from 10pm to 10am is how long i had it in and its still pretty bright.

  • bleach always makes it better lol

  • my hair is auburn, would it work without bleaching?

  • Question... How long did you leave that hair dye in? I've read with the special effects hair day you can leave it in for 2-4 hours & it would come up with un bleached hair. I'm gonna try the raw in deep purple, but I REALLY don't wanna bleach my hair. Also, with the bleached part how long did the actual color last?

  • @Jlynnprincess10 depends how well you take care of your hair. i've missed hot water and my fav shampoo recently so using both of those and not following the sulfate free shamppos and cold-warm water lasts me about 2-3 weeks ( even though there is still blue in my hair, its just not as deep blue...it'll go royal/deep blue-aqua blue/teal). if special effects does what you read about i'd try it if i were you because i heard its better than Raw although someone told me they're almost the same.

  • So it should take well on bleached hair, thats uneven thoughh brassy underneath and in someparts , like a medium blonde at the bottom,, should it work?

  • My hair is a dark brown color (even darker then yours) and i tried to dye it red, and it turned out egplant purple.... ugh dont use red manic panic. :)

  • @gemgen101 ohh ok haa maybe i'll try a blue or purple. But thanks for the info. And good luck if you try it :)

  • would that work on my hair too without bleaching? (look it up on my videos - i have dark brown hair.)

    thanks :D

  • @ShitHappens2401 the parts of blue in my hair that are really noticeable in the video are already bleached and the one that is barely visible blue (the section i did the test on) it doesn't really stand out, its just super faint. Your hair looks lighter than mine (even with low lighting in ur video ur hair still looks lighter than mine) so it might show a little bit more if u dye your hair without bleaching but it still probably wont stand out a lot unless u bleach it first

  • @gemgen101

Oh okay. 'cause i actually speak german, and i didn't understand everything.

    Thank you (:

  • Question: If I bleach my hair (my hair is brown) then dye all of it blue will my natural color eventually come back? if it does I know it would take a long time, ive been looking for the answer to the question but different people say different things...

  • @LilNekoMiku bleach gets rid of all of your natural hair color pigments so no matter what you do after you bleach it you're going to have to wait for your hair to grow out so that you can cut the bleached parts out. thats the only way u'll get ur natural hair color back. imagine bleaching a colored shirt to white: if u get rid of all th color theres no way the color will come back unless you buy another shirt. hope that example helps :D

  • @gemgen101 Ok, would I have to cut out my hair if I bleached it all? ^^; or would it have to be like half brown from my roots and half blue from the hair dye...?

  • @LilNekoMiku its up to you really. don't bleach really close to your roots thought b/c that'll damage hair that grows in the future. As far as cutting your hair , if you want to go back to your natural color and you've bleached it already, grow your hair out and cut the bleached parts off. I would have to say though that if ur going to bleach your whole head then go to a professional b/c the whole head is harder to hide mistakes vs the small places i have my dyed parts

  • love ur hair thanks 4 the info!!!!

  • Hi, i have really dark brown hair almost black, but my hairs pretty and i dont want to harm it by bleaching, i herd that if you leave the dye in over night it might actully show up?? Is that true, also i may use the raw cherry red dye. Any help here?? Thanks abunch :)

  • @JJIZZLE12100 I heard red dyes fade the quickest so i guess any warm colors ( reds, oranges, yellows) will fade faster than cool colors (green, blue, purple). hehe i'm pretty bad to my hair when it comes to leaving the dye in. If its not for video tutorials I'll leave it in for 3-4 hours max hoping the color will stay longer. its so so, but I haven't tried over night or even heard that before. i need to dye my hair today so maybe i'll do that tonight and see the verdict :D

  • @JJIZZLE12100 the overnight verdict: on the bleach parts, it really stood out and its now a nice deep royal blue but not too bright ( shows how strong it was :D ) and the parts that aren't bleached, just normal ended up being tinted a little more than they were in this video but its still not worthy to be considered noticeable. maybe with lighter hair though. Process: I dyed over night on the bleached parts & a little higher than that (around 2 inches on regular hair) & tied a plastic bag there.

  • @JJIZZLE12100 also, to give you a time frame, it was dyed from 10ish at night-10:32 in the morning ( cuz i slept in like a lazy bum :D )

  • what's the difference between a "hair lightener" and actual bleach?

and also does it matter what brand of bleach is used?

  • @BriiAndBree bleach doesn't matter. a viewer of mine who talked to me once said the bleaching process is basically the same HOWEVER the brand of bleach i use (in my other bleaching tutorial) comes with a toner that gets rid of any orange or yellow that the bleach couldn't get rid of. i'm not sure the difference between lightener and bleach is though. i want to say they're the same thing but toner has less strength OR isn't left in as long but don't quote me on anything, i'm not really sure

  • I have light brownish hair and I tried to dye it pink...it didn't show up at all. I just got midnight blue hair dye and I'm leaving it in overnight so hopefully it will show up!

  • @NyHereICome did it work when you left the dye in overnight without bleaching?

  • @gemgen101 YES and it's still in!

  • thank you so much for posting this. i've been looking EVERYWHERE to see what various blue dyes would look like on unprocessed/unbleached/virgin brunette hair. i wanna be blue for a short while or be subtly blue---- point is- regardless of whether people want to be vibrant or subtle, you actually showed us results.. thank you thank you thank you!

  • @thefemalemantis glad i could help. i couldn't find it either so i decided to do a video for those trying to look like i did glad i could give some type of results.

  • u r sooo cute & i like your hair colour :))

  • does raw fade fast like manic panic? :o but on bleached hair.

  • @ahardc0rekid oh god no. i hate manic panic because it fades super fast. manic panic is a semi dye. raw is a demi dye. semis last 2-4 weeks at best and demis last 4-8 weeks at best. i love Raw. It smells better, its healthier and , even though there are not as many color choices as manic panic (which i've used before), it turns out a lot brighter

  • is your real name gemma?

  • @KnG1Dakota haha nope :D not my real name. sounds like a greek name though haha (you know, gamma)

  • @rashaan6 dear professional youtube hater, if i don't respond to everyone's comments everyday it doesn't mean i don't appreciate fans. just because i have a life and don't think about sucking penis every second like you did on this comment or as relevant through all your channel's comments, doesn't mean i don't care. Don't worry dude, one day ppl will accept your pessimistic attitude for humor. in the mean time work on your jokes. The "lol"s aren't as funny as the laughter in your head...goober

  • Your voice is nice :) you must sing good LOL :P

  • Hii this experiment was useful lol :) umm i wanted to ask you: I want to dye my hair blue(RAW)[my hairs dark brwn] , but i was thinkin of using blonde dye which would change it orangish ..I was wondering if I put blue on the orange-ish color then would the color come out bad?? I really dont want to like bleach it and the salon would charge alot :/

  • @RUBI9768 get paint and mix orange and blue together. whatever that color turns out to be is what your hair color will look like. unlike other brands of bleach that just sell bleach, Raw's bleach comes with toner which (if purple) gets rid of any orange or yellow in the hair. i made the mistake of thinking i could dye my hair a light blonde instead of bleaching and what i bought WAS bleach, it just wasn't as strong as bleach so it looked stupid and i ended up bleaching it later anyway.

  • @gemgen101 can you do a video using the blue splat with out bleach ?

  • Youuure so pretty!

  • i have naturally black hair and i tried the same dye u did without my hair being bleach just for fun and it gave it this greenish blueish tint haha but its barely noticable so i bleached it and the color was beautiful(: i love raw hair dye!

  • I have almost black hair but my hairs really pretty so i dont want to damage it by bleaching it. I want to die it turquoise (RAW) and ive been told tht if i die it then leave it in over night and wash it out in the morning, it would have the same effect as not bleaching it. Is tht true????

  • I want to dye my hair a deep burgundy but I dont want to bleach it, I'l be useing garnier. Do ya think it would show? since its a diffrent dye?

  • I was thinking about dying my hair aquamrine(raw color of course) but i have really really dark hair. I was thinking about dying my hair light brown then dying that light brown piece to blonde , would it stand out just as much as bleach? i havent tried it yet because im scared that it might cause more damage than bleaching. So will it work if i do it that was because i dont want to bleach my hair.

  • @BL00DYfail i don't know if you can dye hair blond without using bleach because i tried doing that too and couldn't find any blonde dye, just bleach that is weak so it only hit the blond stage. i ran into a friend yesterday who used loreal something...haha sorry but its the only color dye i presume...and she said you don't need bleach with it ,that it'll dye over your dark hair ( she's got pitch black hair) so maybe try that. oh and her hair is a avery vivd bright red that lasts for weeks

  • @gemgen101 Oh ok thanks :D

  • I have dark brown hair (on the lighter side, though) and I'm thinking about going black.... do I need to bleach it beforehand or can I just dive right in?

  • @insanetruth i don't think you need to bleach because your going for a darker color plus if it fades it won't be noticable compared to if you bleached it before

  • your body movement when you said "whole entire experiment" was super cute

  • i used the purple today on my dark brown hair. it's really bright. i think it's just cuz u used blue..

  • @nvrshoutnvr23 probably. purple is also lighter than blue so it probably stood out more. it also depends if ur hair is lighter than mine ( probably is) because mine is what they call "ash brown" which is pretty close to black

  • Me and my friend want to dye all our hair light blue and light pink like cotten candy and we have to bleach it first... and i am hearing mixed opinions about bleaching it with peroxide or Clorox wht do you think about it?

  • @AMillionRaindropsVT never tried it. i've heard about it thought and its the same mixed reviews. sorry btw that this comment is so late. youtube doesn't notify me of every comment i get which i wish they did

  • @gemgen101 Hehe Thanks :D It's fine Youtbe does tht to me too

  • DO NOT GO IN A SWIMMING POOL YOUR HAIR WILL TURN GREEN!!!

  • is raw perminent i was gunna get manic panic but ppl said it was crapy

  • @katthescenegirl its not permanent but it last a fair amount of time unlike manic panic. i hate that stuff! raw works from 4-6 weeks depending on how u bleached ur hair

  • Is special effects a good brand to use? cause i want to try that brand if it is

  • @a7xlover2100 i heard its eaither the same as Raw or better. never tried it myself though but i want to because the colors are great :D

  • @gemgen101 alrighty :) thanks

  • have you experimented wt dyeing your hair wt kool aid?

ohh nd wat would be the process if iwould wanna dye my hair either pink or red if my hair is brown? woul RAW show up? or would i have 2 bleach it first?

  • @liv3l0v3hat3 never tried kool aid. think of the color wheel and the shade of color you're considering then consider this: do YOU think it'll show up? if not, then you need to bleach it. thats the deal in most cases

  • Ok so i have a question, im a straight out ginger, would that work on my hair (if you know) like a purple or pink?

  • @BrokenFlowerChild i'm not sure. since your hair its already red ( and the bleaching processes goes black->brown->red->orange->dark yellow->light yellow -> white) so maybe if you bleach it it'll do the same process. if you bleach OR dye, test out strand (they recommend that before bleaching anyway). u can also check out my other video that shows the exact directions. maybe theres a number u can call that they may know and that i might've not answered the way you wanted. hoe that helps though :D.

  • red/orange/pink (warm) colors show up on dark brown hair... blue is the least likely to take to dark or unbleached hair. even the slightest amounts of yellow will give it a murky or green tinge. blue can show up as a nice highlight and the more damaged your hair is, the more the dye will take (hair becomes porous and holds more).

  • when i did my hair, i had the front and top of my hair bleached a lot more, then further back and below weren't bleached as much, and the roots were still my natural color. it totally looked awesome after i finished. the roots were this midnight blue and it got brighter the higher up you went. you'd have to see a pic on my facebook, but, it turned out great! (just sorta started washing out bad real fast b/c i guess i didn't have the right shampoo :P)

  • @elobitoxo Your hair sounds AWESOME!

  • What kinds of shampoos do you use keep the color from washing out? I saw the vid that mentioned not to use ones with sulfate in it, but, it seems like every shampoo out there has it, even the so-called, "color treatment" products. Any tips would be great, and, btw, you're hair looks wicked awesome!

  • @elobitoxo oh good you watched it! ^_^ yay! so i don't have to repeat things i already covered. i tried one once and it got discontinued i guess b/c it was all natural ( i even think that was the name). they use to have this shampoo called Chemical that was sulfate too (was in the video) but i haven't seen that in the stores lately :( Same goes for another brand i liked called Vitamin Shampoo Acai Berry Guava 13oz. L'oreal was HORRIBLE on my Raw hair dyed hair that i had to return it asap. but..

  • @elobitoxo i dont know what other shampoos to use b/c i can't find then eaither. (i also tried Enjoy but it was okay, not the best. To be honest i havent used sulfate free in a long time b/c #1 i don't mind touching up my hair once a month since i bleached it so it turns a sky blue shade and i like any shade of blue & #2 i get lazy and dont want to look in the isles. It is still a tip thought for people who don't know about how to maintain the dye as long as possible. search online b4 like i did

  • if i have blue streeks and want to go back to my natural color what do i do?

  • @saxtaylor96 dye with permanent dye (which last longer than semi and demi duyes BUT will still slowly fade) or wait for your hair to grow out and cut it

  • thankyou for th video! :D

  • Pretty hair, I like the blue : ) Do not cut your hair off, please!!!

  • Hey, i get that same question a lot, and people don't seem to read the comments where i have answered it for other people. Can i link this video to people who keep asking me?

  • @engelteir yeah!!! and i know what you mean. it gets really tiring to reply to people even though u've answered it a million times

  • hey... the blue streaks actually look pretty good. It's not dyed blue too much so it's nice and subtle...
