i completely disagree. Travis is the best in the world. No question. Haha just joking. But you can honestly listen to down, always, miss you, feeling this, not now, adams song, anthem pt2, and others that i'm not going to list, and say this guy is close to the same level as him? Travis either gets trashed or overly praised. Travis is one of the most creative drummers i've seen in my life. He incorporates latin, jazz, funk, and ska into his punk drumming. Not many can do that and it sound good.

you made a good point i guess. he does incorporate a lot of styles into his drumming. im not saying he's a shitty drummer, he's my all time favourite, and maybe i contradict myself but i still agree with the over rated part of him. he is amazing at what he does. this guy though, using his own techniques and rhythms is still not miles away from the same amount of talent.

@buckeyeboyh5 Agreed - it's Travis' creativity that makes him amazing. Sure his beats aren't the most advanced the in the world. I'm sure Neil Peart is much more technically advanced, but he lacks that creativity

@gt198gtr Neil Peart doesn't lack creativity. There is nothing Travis Barker can do that Neil can't. Having said that, I personally don't think Neil is the best there is. I prefer Vinnie Colaiuta, Dave Weckl, Benny Greb, Dennis Chambers, the likes of them, but Neil is one of the most influential of all-time.

@blacksideknight3 feeling this, the chorus is a rumba clave on the cowbell, the verse of "and I" by box car racer  is a modified songo (afro-cuban drumming. my mistake), the verse of "watch the world" is a fusion of latin and jazz. he also played in a soca/latin band called "flash in the pan".

I don't think that all those things will fuck up anything, because I think all of those drum mics are condenser mics. It makes a huge difference to the sound. Trust me on that one. Nothing is going to fuck up the sound, because it won't take any echo from anything else, just what's coming right off the drums and cymbals.
