  • Charlie Bit me!! lol It looks like Charlie :D I actually like the background.

  • the green background kind of messed it up :(

  • Great painting, but in my opinion the background is a bit too garish.

  • it looks like watercolor paper to me,,,n water colors,,,,idunno

  • beautiful baby~~~~

  • That's awesome! I love it! I wish I could do something like that! A big thumbs up!

  • Its easy to paint monsters but it takes 6 hours to fill 'em with colors and makeing em look good. Im going to publish my paintings to my profile and im only 12. Also my litle sister who is only 10 years old can paint better than me.

  • Woooooaaahhh

    dat shirt folding *A*

  • A baby is a more difficult subject, than a adult because often the features are not as defined as in an adult, but it is well done here. Something about it reminds me of some of the artists I like, such as Lucian Freud. Baby has sort of an iconicness, how it solidly occupies the space and is not wishy washy or anything like that, and the profound cranial dome, and attention the subject is given (even though it's from a photograph) but still, way better that the average baby painting I think.

  • you are fantastic....

  • amazing painting mate. i like the idea of doing a detailed drawing first cuz i normally just mark out the proportions with red paint first and get myself in a mess lol

  • I actually liked the drawing better than the painting. I think when you do such a detailed drawing there might be a tendencies to just fill in the space. . The background is harsh and doesn't compliment the painting of the baby. The background is part of the painting and should be given the proper attention.

  • @Jumpinflashjack But sometimes the background can be made plain in order to focus more of you attention to the actual image being the baby

  • I do the same...just paint. But I think you did a great job on capturing the happiness of the child.

  • Nice! Very neat, clean and alive.

  • its intresting you pencil in first, i never do- i got stright in with the paint.
