I don't understand what every ones problem is. I think Duvall is doing an amazing job.. especially considering the amazing vocals and range Layne portrayed.. Huge HUGE shoes to fill.

While I certainly wish Layne hadn't given up on himself like that, I'd like to think that he was aware of the grief he caused Jerry and the other guys. Somehow I doubt he would have cared had they chosen to go on with someone else while he was alive. But they didn't. As long as he was alive, they kept the band on hold and pursued other projects. For that, I will defend to the death their right to take their present course of action. Not that they need me to but I'm sure they'd appreciate it.

The unfortunate truth is that nothing can bring him back, but if the rest of the band wants to keep playing, and they don't try to pretend like they can replace Layne, then all the power to them.
That said, its actually kind of refreshing to hear a more "natural" singing voice do Alice in Chains.
They did keep playing without him. Cantrells solo stuff was just Alice without Layne. They don't need this suck ass new guy. And I'm not just bitter cause Laynes dead. New guy sucks.
