Nice work, Mark. I always enjoy your videos!! Congratulations on the baby.....BTW, if you are interested in adopting a second son, I'll volunteer (potty trained, off the bottle, able to dress myself and I can read, do math, measure and use woodworking equipment!!). Whatcha' say???? :)
Really nice frame project, I like the Maple version of it. And Congrats on the new baby, We should start scanning the new videos for left out milk bottles and pacifiers in the background? :-)
Hey Mark, or anyone else that has an opinion on the subject. I am a Freshman at the U of Illinois studying nothing concerning woodworking. I feel in love with woodworking in high school and ultimately would like to do something with my life similar to what Mark does, after I get some kind of degree and do normal stuff with my life for a bit. Anyways I wanted to study abroad somewhere (I am very open) and possibly study solely woodworking. Is there anywhere/anyone you wish you could learn from?
The resaw king blade, has had a lot of bad reviews on line for duling out very quickly.have u found this to be a problem yet?they are very expensive and should I part with the cash or not?
"I expect that I'm gonna be a little bit busy for the next few weeks". From one dad of young children to another, try more like for the next few years ;)...but it's all worth it!
Pretty, I was looking for something for my wife, that she could us. thank you, O I just have pine wood here so I think she will get it , but I will Stain, it to look, like maple
I was fortunate enough to be able to be part of a build that used quarter sawn white oak for the top of a bedroom dresser. I was young and did not realize what a fantastic piece it was until some years later. A few years ago, unbenounced to me, the dresser was painted!! Ugggg!!! Anyway, the unit is at a summer home that belongs to my Grandma, but she gave me permission to take the unit and re-finish it. Seeing your calender frame makes me anxious to get started! Congrats on your son too!
Oh come on Norm would shoot 30 brads on the back panel. And don't forget your prescription glasses. Very good video, I like the music and overall process. At first when you started this project I thought I wouldn't be interested but I was pleasantly surprised with the way it came out.
I really like this project, but after looking at the finished product I feel like you should have shaped the top rail after the glue up. The transition from the arch to the flat topped stiles just looks...odd to me. your mileage may vary. Thanks a ton Marc, and congrats on the new baby! I've got one on the way, so wish me luck!
Nice job! And congrats on your new addition. Going to do a spot on building a change table or 3 in 1 bed? I'm about to build both for my granddaughter.

Thanks. I have a very nice Binks gun and have not tried lacquer yet. Usually use shellac and water based urethane.
