  • You really think the corridor to the Speaker's office should be open? It's not that it was closed for that meeting, it's always closed, I've never not seen that sign posted there. Are you saying that a Republican speaker will not have that sign up? Wouldn't that result in a security problem for Capitol police and logistical problems for all the tourists who think that it is okay to go down there, when they go from the rotunda to Statuary Hall?

I look forward to hearing back from you.

  • WAY TO GO GEORGIA!!

    w00t w00t!

MAKES ME WANT TO MOVE THERE!

  • Unfortunately, it seems that great time and attention has been given to creating youtube videos, news releases, and e-mails. I truly believe that this time could and should be better spent by this Congressman representing Roswell, Georgia.

  • I am truly disappointed in the foolishness that continues to represent the state of Georgia. I hope that at some point, when issues of accountability are really important to the very same people that berate and disparage more competent and inclusive initiatives they will be reminded of the "great plan" that Bush implemented.

  • the democrats will look real stupid when this bill fails...

  • yikes! it's so shaky, i'm seasick. worse than cloverfield! who is this fear mongering nerdman lurking in corridors? what a complete tool.

  • The corridor is closed (then someone walks out of it) and he just heard news there was an agreement. That is hard proof of shady deals going on behind closed doors.

  • on top of what i said earlier i'd like to point out that instead of actually taking the time to read the bill jackasses like this @sshole would rather waste his other's time by making this video and the time it took to upload this stupid video. But, i guess people like our congressman here are exactly where they should be. in the pit w/ the tr0//s. free bucket of dick for the GOP (they know what to do)!!!

  • 6th District of Georgia, I am embarrassed for you. The next time you get a chance to elect someone to such a high and important office, such as the House or Senate, please remember this video and how embarrassing it was the last time you elected a person like this.

  • I'm really getting sick of this whiny GOP bullshit. the economy is going down the drain and all these assholes can do is bitch and moan because they lost a fucking election. Stop your fucking whining and get with the program! Actually come up with an idea that doesn't involve God or a tax cut. If you can't manage that, shut the fuck up and get the fuck out.

  • I love you.

  • The last time Congress was worth a damn was when Reps took control in the 90s and made Clinton sign a balanced budget.

Then years later, they turned into tax-and-spend Democrats. Would think liberals would love the previous Republican Congress since there wasn't a spending bill they didn't like.

Now Reps have grown a pair again and try to stop this junk. Many even tried to stop Bush' 700b bailout.

Vote for small government and personal freedom. Hey, how 'bout those Libertarians?

  • Those 'shady deals' are called negotiations. Perhaps if you would actually be reasonable and not throwing temper tantrums, you would actually be invited. For now you are acting like a petulant child that can't get his way. Grow up and govern, and stop acting like a baby.

  • A ten year old could make a better video.

Is Tom Price trying to mimic filmmaker Michael Moore? For his next act is he going to try for an ambush interview of Nancy Pelosi. I hope she's smart enough to get a restraining order against a creepy dude like Price.

  • Forget who did what to who and the same old party affiliation junk... This stimulous bill does not stimulate jobs. It returns favors that were received during the campaign. Why is ACORN even in business after the circus during the election? Groups like ACORN will get billions.

    My opionion is too simple.

Why don't we forget politics and give tax incentives to companies for keeping jobs in the US. People get jobs, the governenment gets the taxes. There should be NO PORK in this bill!

  • Divisive & Partisan, and Dumb.

Only Democrats voted for President B. Hussein's $800,000,000,000 spending bill in the House. The only thing bipartisan about it was the opposition -- Republicans (all) & Democrats (7).

The CBO's report states the bill will inflict long term damage to America's economy. No wonder Liberals love the guy.

  • Haha this is why youtube is so damn interesting. it can keep me entertained for hours and hours! haha It's so entertaining

  • The Republicans and the Democrats hold no solutions. I wish people would understand this.

  • These job programs are to be "shovel ready" so do you take an assembly plant worker and have him start building bridges on day one? It won't happen and the jobs will go to skilled workers, unless you prefer untrained labor building a bridge near you. PS> Most of the CEOs hauled in front of the Congress are democrats!

  • I am sick of that kind of politics, and that's why I vowed in 2003 to vote exclusively for Democrats & Independents for the rest of my life. The party of Abramoff, Schlozman and Goodling will not receive my support ever again.

  • Fuck You Price !!!!!! Your all a bunch of lemings. Why should you be included,we all know how your going to vote. I love how you come out to the public acting like your the moral/innocent one and your being taken advantage of. Give us a break. IT was just a few months ago that you voted for the TARP, with no oversight. That worked out great. Fucking crooks.....

  • You hit the nail on the head.

  • I live in Tom Price's district. All he gives a damn about is his base of wealthy conservatives. He could care less about the average American that makes less than $100,000 per year. He is against any kind of government involvement in healthcare although the cost is killing many people in the middle class. What do you expect? He is a doctor by profession. A hypocrite that appears at churches in the area to get votes from so-called Christians but their god is their money, and he is their pawn.

  • If Republicans are for the rich, then that means they must need the rich to keep their power. And, if they need the rich to keep their power, they need to keep the rich rich to keep their power. If this is true, and Democrats are for the poor as they claim, then they must need the poor. And, they need to keep the poor poor to keep their power.

As for Gov't involvement in healthcare, take a moment to listen to this former Canadian!

    watch?v=xdARfegZDns

  • Democrats are for the poor and the MIDDLE CLASS. I can assure you that you will want Govt. intervention when you lose your healthcare and have to go on the market to buy it, becasue you may not be able to afford it or buy it at any price if you have a preehxisting condition.

  • But they benefit from the poor because of their perceived dependence on the Ds. Therefore, it further benefits Ds to make the Middle Class poor also. The more people dependent in this country the better off Ds are and they know it. It broadens their voter base. Ask anyone who collects wellfare whether they vote D or R. We already know what that answer is. Both parties believe in equality. But, to Rs it means to bring others up to prosperity and Ds bring others down to despairity.

  • Do you feed a man a meal by giving him a fish as the Dems do? Or, do you teach him to fish and feed him for a lifetime as the Repubs do?

  • How can you bring the middle and lower class up to prosperity when the largest tax cuts go to the the top 5%? The middle class has been hammered over the last eight years. No real gain in income during that time.. That's why the Republicans have lost control of the house, senate and white house.

  • Come on v8. Every time the government attempts to legislate prosperity it opens another vein in our country's economy. If the government promises every man an apple, who's going to go find his apple on his own. The Soviet Union tried that method, and look what happened there...poverty for everyone but the ones in power. If you truly want prosperity, figure out how someone else achieved it, and go get it for yourself. Don't sit there like a baby bird waiting to be fed by your government.

  • Ffdj3417 - Shows what you know. I have prosperity. I don't have to be in poverty to be a Democrat. I was an executive in the insurance industry and retired in my late 50s.. I own a nice house with no mortgage, have a Jaguar (where do you think the user name "V8 Cat" came from?) and a Lexus (all paid for). But I see what is going on. I benefitted financially by the Bush tax cuts, but many people did not. I believe there is a duty to give everybody the chance to succeed which includes govt help.

  • Good for you v8. I truly am very pleased for you. You did it right. You worked hard and reaped the fruits of your labors. And if you want to share those fruits, then once again, good for you. It's a very noble thing to do. But, what right do you or the government have to tell me or anyone else that we must share the fruits of our labors, how much we must share, and with whom we must share. That's a personal decision. At least it used to be.

  • This is the difference between us.. The fact that some of my tax money went to help the unfortunate NEVER bothered me through my whole career. Republicans only care about their tax cuts, and to the hell with everyone else. They guard their money like it is their God. Tax cuts by the Republicans in a time of war when all Americans ought to have been sacrificing is kind of sickening.

  • You're missing the point v8. The American people are the most caring and the most generous givers in the world. But, you sound like a educated person, so I'm sure you already know that. And, just so that you'll hopefully appreciate where I'm coming from, I give to causes that I belive in. In some cases those causes are people who need help. My concern, and that of most non-liberals, is in preserving our right, I say again right, to make a personal decision about the sharing of our fruits.

  • Tax cuts help everyone(even idiots like you) it spurs the economy and causes job creation..... just ask John Kennedy

  • Yeah the capital gains tax cuts really helped those people making under $30k per year. They own just a ton of stock. Compare what the capital gains cuts meant to the person that makes over 250k per year that does have investments in the market you idiot.

  • I am middle class & haven't gotten hammered over the last eight years. I get more than ever because I can keep more of what I earn. (Obama to likely reverse this) If I were in the top 5%, then I'd have that much more money to create jobs. And maybe I wouldn't have to relocate my business overseas because it's cheaper to ship my products to the USA than it is to actually make them here. As for the Repubs, after a quick recovery from 9/11 things were great - until Dems got into power 2 years ago.

  • Good evening Irony. You've been paying attention. Way to go. My fear and at the same time hope, is that things will get so bad under the Obamanation, that the American people will finally wake up and realize they really want a servant and not a nanny for their government.

  • I'm sure those wall street and bank executives with millions in bonuses are creating tons of jobs LOL. Most Republicans I know are what I call "Republican wannabes" like "Joe the Plumber" - never even got to the six figures in income much less over $250k (the upper 5%)., but fantasize that they will someday eventhough they are in their 50's. They are being screwed by their own party, but won't believe it.. They are much will be better off under the Democrats. Not many $250k jobs available now.

  • Democrats keeps us dependent. The party thrives on the needy. I don't see that as being better.

If $250K = the upper 5%, then I am doing much better than the Dems have led me to believe. I say that and don't even make 6 figures. It sounds like you might have a jelousy thing going on there. Do you like the thought of Obama dangling the severed head of the rich in front of you? Does that work you into a frenzy?

  • Do you feel that you are owed something?

  • Why would I be jealous of the rich? didn't you see in my above comment I retired in my late 50's and own my house and cars with no debt. I have a good pension and healthcare through my former employer until I reach medicare.I'm thinking about how some of my middle class friends are struggling with job losses, no healthcare or unaffordable healthcare while wallstreet has run wild for 8 years under the Republican Admn. at the expense of these people.

  • Are you referring to the socialized medicine called medicare that Obama has "changed" in the stimulus? Now, our elderly might not get cured/treated because the cost/age ratio may be too great. "Sorry sir, we're not even going to treat your cancer because you are too old to get that expensive treatment anyway." As for the job losses, that started with the mortgage crisis of Fannie/Freddie. Wanna see proof of who's mess that is...

    watch?v=lXNVwdF7ZMQ

  • Bush's trillion dollar un-needed Iraq war is what started this mess along with his tax cuts in a time of war. Funny how John McCain interrupted his campaign to "save the country" by voting for TARP to get the $350 billion in the hands of Bush & Paulson to give to the bankers & now votes against the stimulous package as wasteful spending. As for medicare, hope you have the $250K in TODAYS dollars put away for you and your wife for medical care not covered by medicare from age 65 until death.

  • I doubt he would do something like that in the stimulus, seeing as his mother died from more or less the same scenario you described.

But it's cool. You can keep crying while the rest of the world progresses.

  • Lol, what?

Where do you get fascist? I am so perplexed. Be more constructive with your criticism.

  • Comment removed

  • I know what fascism is, I don't get why you think I would be one. All I was referring to was the tin foil hat fear that the republicans are slinging. Believe me, I'm not a supporter of government in general, but if one is to pick flaws, make it legitimate.

And if you think I'm a democrat, you're wrong. I know what excessive liberalism can lead to, just look at the nanny state of Great Britain or the excessive tolerance of radical Islam throughout Europe. I'm more of a progressive centrist.

  • Comment removed

  • Not quite. I like the government as far away from personal lives as possible.

  • Congressman Price-

    1. Can't you get one of your wealthy corporate friends/donors/puppeteers to buy you a tripod and a microphone?

    2. Remember how respectful you Republicans were[n't] of Democratic input when the Rs had the presidency and majorities in Congress?

    3. Why should the Ds compromise with you folks when you're all going to vote against the bill anyway?

  • What did you expect Congressman Price? Your party did the same thing in the recent past.

  • How could you even consider Ron Paul a Republican, he believes in opening the border and dismantling our military... lrn 2 politics.

  • The GOP has been a joke for so long. One man (Ron Paul) has the ability to see beyond "Reagan" (credit card "conservatism"). The other 99% are clueless.

But then I consider Ron Paul a libertarian before a Republican. He's too smart for this gang of idiots.

  • What's the website he refers to? He bungled it.

  • $39 billion slush fund for "state fiscal stabilization" bailout

$5.5 billion for making federal buildings "green"

    $275 million for flood prevention

$650 million for the DTV transition coupon program

    $10 million for urban canals

$2 billion for manufacturing advanced batteries for hybrid cars

$300 million for hybrid and electric cars for federal employees

$650 million for abandoned mine sites

$100 million for lead paint hazard reduction

$500 million earmark for NIH facilities in Bethesda

  • Maybe if the people who are actually employed and making money just quit paying the Federal taxes, maybe then, we could arrest the attention of these socialist/communists.

  • Earthquake?

  • Bipartisanship....Words...Just Words.....

    Hope & Change + Waste & Spend = Deficit & Inflation

  • hahaha "shady deals, closed doors! if you're sick of this kind of politician......vote republican!"

if the audio quality wasnt such crap this video would be mocked into the ground on the daily show

  • Ha Ha.... Where was this guy when bush was giving tax payer money away with no strings attached?

  • So you think Bush did it, and you didn't like that, but you think Pelosi and company are going to do it too, BIG TIME, and you like that?

  • "The other guys did it, so we get to do it too"

Do you often find yourself justifying things in this way?

  • Tom Price was steadfast against the the housing bailout -- and the automaker bailout. In fact, most conservatives were against the bailouts from the start. Perhaps just a little bit of research would make you look like less of an idiot.

  • metsbs -- you are one brainswashed dumb ass.....

  • Comment removed

  • The Democrats have taken a significant economic downturn and used it as an excuse to implement a radical leftist agenda that is unrelated to the economy. They have used fear to make these changes and will ultimately pay the political price. Unfortunately, the long term damage to the economy will have been done.

  • THE TRUTH IS: If the Liberals succeed in getting the country out of the economic mess, they will stay in control of the Senate/House longer than we can imagine. That is the main but unofficial reason why our Conservative Leaders are opposing the Liberal Spending Bill. Is that so hard to understand? By the way, we we were in charge of the Senate/House from 2000-2006 and White House from 2000-2008, and we had as many secret meetings as the Liberals now. Let us be fair !!!

  • Watch California.

There is a tax revolt happening right now.

10,000,000 workers in California were sent IOUs in lieu of their tax rebate from last year. Overpaid taxes being held by the state. Counties are now withholding taxes collected for the State because the state is not paying the counties what they are supposed to.

Individuals are increasing the number of dependents on their tax forms with employers saying they will settle up with the state later on.

  • we are screwed !

  • Thanks for being an idiot. Come up with a damn alternative plan that works...then we'll listen...instead of just whining about bullshit. The forefathers did it with the Virginia Plan and the New Jersey Plan...being debated on two sides..with the Connecticut Compromise occurring...thus laying the foundation of our current government and Constitution. Come up with a plan. Meet in the middle. Instead of being little whining losers with no better ideas than to continue to let the economy fail.

  • Hey don, what do draconian health care provisions rationing health care for the elderly have to do with stimulating the economy. How about you idiots actually learn what's in the bill before spewing the same old tired mantras.

  • Thank you congressmen price, if the socialist dems are not stopped we will have a worse problem than the Japanese did during the lost decade. Democrats hate the independent thinking of free Americans.

  • "we did we got rid of stale republican cliches, stale rhetoric, and selfishness and greed cubanvolta"

You must not have watched the obama presser the other night.

  • God Bless You Congressman Price!

  • The hell with Price. I live in his district. His kind is why Obama won. Sorry to say my district voted Republican, but thank God for the rest of the country. Hope we can get rid of Price in 2010.

  • I wish this man were my congressman!

  • Get behind Mario Apuzzo. He has the lawsuit Kerschner v. Obama, et als. He's suing them all. Stop this NOW and get rid of the corruption that is our standing congress.

If you look at that lawsuit closely, you'll see how corrupt they are and how they planned this entire fiasco.

Force the courts to listen. Tell them we're sick of being denied and if they don't listen, impeach them because you CAN.

  • Can't get onto the site. But it's about time someone started doing something about this CRAP!

This is bankrupting America and they're doing it on PURPOSE!

Economic crisis my ass! It's them that are MAKING this crisis! Socialism, here we come if you don't impeach the crap out of them NOW!

  • No. Can't you tell a response that actually gives a shit rather than you, who is only interested in "who won"? You don't get it. There is no party. They love it when you fight over semantics. Because then you don't focus on what's really happening. That's what you're doing, not me. Unless you're a communist who actually WANTS America to fail.

  • thank you for toning down the shrillness. no. i don't want this country to fail. i happen to be a barrow democrat. the fact that i see is, that waiting for positive economic change without doing ANYTHING is to see the great depression part II. and i never saw part one . don't ever want to see part 2.

  • We are all SCREWED by this unconstitutional stimulus. As Im sure the awake know they are sneaking things in this bill that will effect the type of health care you get. Health care will be determined by a computer program!!! Did you know that there are gun controls in this bill?

    From CCRKBA:

This nefarious bill seeks to strip us all of our Constitutional Rights to possess and bear firearms of any distinction. It requires, within the first two years, The bill goes retroactive after two years

  • the r.s.c. the looney tunes of the g.o.p.

  • Even though I am not a Republican and do not live in Price's constituency, my parents do and I encouraged them to vote for him because he was the best possible candidate. Nonetheless, I think Price's gimmicks are short lived and he might want to allocate his time in a more constructive fashion. If the Republicans wouldn't have played a hard to catch and stymied the process by unanimously oppose the bill, with malice and forethought, they might 've gotten to play nice in the sandbox this time.

  • Tom, the revolution needs a leader. Say the word and we'll come stand with you.

  • THANK YOU Congressman Price!!

I am SO THANKFUL that my GEORGIA Congressmen are leading the fight! I called your office & thanked them - DO NOT LET UP!!

  • I've pretty much given up on Congress either providing transparency or acting in the interest of the people. We need term limits now! Term limits are the only way can start dismantling the "congressional clubhouse".

  • Congressman Tom Price, M.D., didn't give up a very lucrative medical practice to make less money and ACTUALLY REPRESENT his constituents, Tom did it SOLELY TO ENRICH HIMSELF!

  • Why aren't you beating the Speaker's damned door down, instead of beating your gums again? Tom, you lied as a State Representative in Georgia, now you're putting on a used car commercial type hype ad to promote yourself-EITHER YOU DO SOMETHING OF SUBSTANCE RIGHT NOW OR STFU! DAMNIT!! ALL THIS TALK WITH NO ACTION IS REALLY GETTING OLD!! IT'S TIME FOR A NEW 1776 STYLE REVOLUTION!

  • It's supposed to be the People's House!

    Not Pelosi's Politburo!

Is the Eugenics Amendment out of Barry's Big Boondoggle Act of 2009 yet?

  • macghil that is why the g.o.p. got a big butt whuppin'!

  • Good for you posting this video. I'm sick and fucking tired of you fucking politicians. I'm stocking up on tar and feathers.

  • BRAVO!!!

Thank you Mr. Price! We need more Republicans to speak out and fight these criminals in the dem party.

  • oriana, speak price speak. that way we might get esquire magazines wish for 2008. 305 dems in the house,64 dems in the senate

  • obama the shifty, if he wasnt a politician he would be a shell game operator out on the streets of new york

  • I as a citizen know better how to spend my money, then some brain-dead bureaucrat in DC. And I sure wouldn't spend it on funding voter fraud (ACORN) or on ill-conceived social programs - but that's exactly what this so-called "stimulus" will do, courtesy of the the Reid-Pelosi-Obama triumverate....

  • Rep. Price thank you for making the time to post this video. We need people in congress who will stand up to the power brokers from both parties and help us return to the Era when big government is over.

  • I'm not awfully surprised. This liberal spending blitz under the guise of a "stimulus" will backfire.

  • liudy, it will backfire, .......ON REPUBLICANS!

  • STFU, you commie bastard, obamadidit2008. You're going DOWN!

  • Neither tax cuts nor spending increases are the answer - financing the deficit in the short term will take out a greater chunk of the financial markets then could be recovered. It's simple economics but an inconvenient truth for the two parties.

  • Canada became a socialist country in less than twenty years because it allowed programs to be put in place by their government.

The USA is headed down that horrid path and unless we do something to stop it and stand up and be counted American will no longer be a nation for the people and of the people. It will be just like the USSR, much like what Venezuela is and much of what socialists societies in Europe are like

STAND UP and contact your congressmen...COMPLAIN!!!!

  • So much for transparency.

  • this country is heading down a wicked path in a matter of a few short weeks. Obama is the Puppet is being tugged by Pelosi and following her whims.

This should scare all of us. What the HELL is happening to America!!!!

  • "The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of 'liberalism,' they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened."

    - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

  • You Republican guys are the best, you stood up to TARP last fall, also. Thank You for your sensibility!

  • Tax Cuts will stimulate. Not government spending. If the government has that much money they need to give it back to us. TAX CUTS!

  • Obama and Pals are Hypocrites=say one thing and do another.

The are masters of "bait and switch"

  • Nancy Pelosi and Zero are poster children for why promoting someone because of their gender or race is a very very bad idea. Pelosi is as un-American as one can get, and Zero governs like someone with Zero experience...oh wait, community organizers fit that to the max.

  • Thanks for the information!!!

  • How sad that the complacent liberal media won't do its job, but thanks Tom Price for trying to fill the void.

Can you imagine the public outrage if it was Republicans doing this to Democrats?!

  • Well done Tom Price!! We need more videos like this. (Put your web address as a link in the comments) I'm from Iowa, but I sure like your style!!

  • Go Tom go! Thanks for this vid and keeping the presure on those in charge of the "pork-ulus" bill!

  • If this is change we can expect over the next few years we are in for a more socialistic country which means less civil liberties and more government control of our daily lives.

  • Reid and Pelosi need to be arrested for treason and after found guilty hung from the neck until dead...

  • "Reid and Pelosi need to be arrested for treason ..."

    Agreed.

  • I thought the American people voted for change?

Obama = More of the same!

  • Thanks for standing up for the taxpayers, Tom. Folks, this is a man who hasn't forgot who it is that sent him to Washington.

Make those hearings open to the public!!!!

  • "Slaughtering Cattle to Make the Sun Rise"

OBAMA: If we don't do something immediately, then total financial ruin will occur.

CBO: If we don't do anything, then the recession will end in the second half of 2009.

Obama's Hopey-Changey Show lasted, what, 100 hours? Democrats always govern by crisis. A self-sufficient people is their problem, and more fascist government is their solution.

  • Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel did say publicly "you should never let a good crisis go to waste."

  • Yes, and they never do. 9/11 gave them the federal airport security. The last time I flew I was driven to the airport by a guy named Mohammad, checked in by a guy named Mohammad, but then I felt really, really safe when the airport security pawed through my carry-on to check out my toothbrush with his rubber gloves -- his name was Mohammad too.

Multiply that by a trillion, and that's what we have to look forward to.

  • they are... it's called C-SPAN.
