That water was NOT safe to drink. Soil is rich in Bacillus Anthraci, the bacteria that produces anthrax.

They took a chance. In fact, elephants have been documented many times to have died from the water they drank digging deep much like this one.

that water may look dirty but it is healthier to drink than our bottled water. The bottled water is stripped of all the vitamins and nutrients that the other water has. Probably taste how it looks but I bet you could get used to it.
