One of my all time faves. OK I was 15 sitting in cafe in Grantham on a snowy winter Saturday evening after playing football for ATC Scotland in RAF Cranwell, and this was playing on the jukebox. Happy days!

a jeepster is a car. he loved cars he had alot of different ones. and if youlisten to some of the lyrics to his songs you will hear that he mentions a car in several of them. but marc never had a licence. he was scared to drive. his first wife gave him a lesson in driving one time and he said he would never do that again.
Bolan died on 16 September 1977.He was a passenger in a purple Mini 1275GT (registration FOX 661L) driven by Gloria Jones as they headed home from Mortons drinking club and restaurant in Berkeley Square. Jones lost control of the car and it struck a sycamore tree after failing to negotiate a small humpback bridge near Gipsy Lane on Queens Ride, Barnes, southwest London.Bolan died instantly. Jones suffered a broken arm and broken jaw and spent time in hospital. Source wikipedia.
Thank you for the info on Marcs' death. Now that is tragic!!! An accident is a terrible thing. I am glad to hear that it didn't have anything to do with drugs or alcohol on his part, as it seems to be with so many other younger artists. I guess it's just the lifestyle they are exposed to.

I used to skip off school to listen to T.Tex albums with my friend Dan. Bolan was God to me when I was 12-14 years old, and I know that Marc was the only guitarist in T.Rex and in Tyrannosaurus Rex. But watch the vid again, and at 1;08, while Marcs left hand is at the bottom of the neck holding down a chord, you will hear a lead-line being played.
Don't you think bands take their live music and put studio tracks on to make them sound better? Happens all the time. Plus, I don't really give a shit. I sorry if I hurt your feelings, Gimme your address, I'll send some Kleenex!
