Why do some people give so beautiful names to so terrible anddeadly storms? And, also, can anyone tell me what were those rifle-men in the video doing pointing guns at different people? T thought that in New Orleans there was a hurracane, not an invasion. God bless everyone.
One of the the main things that broke my heart about this disaster was the govenment's response to us, the people of New Orleans. They pulled guns on us, the citizens. We were all treated as criminals. We won't go home again, because home no longer exists there. It wasn't the storm ... it was the reaction of people - people who still haven't got that one MESSAGE: LOVE ONE ANOTHER.
I live in South Louisiana and experienced Katrina in a very personal and painful way. This video is so moving & accurate in showing the loss & fear but also the resilience of the people. 2 yrs later and I cried like a baby....
Your video touched my heart. After Katrina I had the opportunity to help rebuild a church in Slidell, LA. Thank you for putting together some real history and mixing it with your trust in God to tell the world about this tragedy. Linda C
This video says a lot about New Orleans, too bad Hurricane Rita didn't get noticed, other than by the survivors of Rita. So this video is just a small part of what hit 3 states. But, everyone talks only of New Orleans and that's the sad part of what really happened to so many others, not from New Orleans.
I agree Paul, I have family and friends in Cameron Parish. Rita obliterated their whole parish. TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS IN SWLA I LOVE YA ALL CYA IN JUNE OR SOONER!!
this was very brave of you. I did not see the devastation until January when my beloved friend Virginia, a New Orleans native, drove me around for hours adn i still did see it all.
this pile of stuff is not our life. our life is hid in Christ.

Let's meet for the Krewe of Dreux next Mardi Gras ;-). You bring the meat pies, and I'll make the chocolate snowballs with condensed milk ;-).
