@rocknrollforever10 hahahahahahahahahahahaha, sorry, hahahahahahahahahaha, sorry, seriously? why don't you suggest youtube to stick it up their tube for even making you type out backstreet boys, hahahahahaha.
Isn't that what I said my fellow Blimp friend? I never mentioned 1973. I did see them play live in 1977 three times and did see Jimmy wearing white for most of the 77 tour. The 75 tour he wore mainly black including the intro of the dragon suit. The tours previous to those he mainly wore embroidery in jeans. Thanks for commenting because Zeppelin history was always my favorite subject. Check out my collection {part 1} in my YT video. Its a shaky recording but I tried to get the message through.
Nice editing job. You nailed the vocals and drums a few times. Also some nice slow motion and Jimmy guitar leads. But did they do Lets Have A Party at Earls Court in 75? .
@cjo2112 I know see what you are saying about the video. It states "Southhampton 1973" at the start of the video. I believe the person who posted this was saying that "the music is from the Southhampton show" and the video portion is from Earls Court in 1975. That is what you were referring to when you made the comment about 1973. I get it now, sorry for rambling on.
I read a Rolling Stone Article where Robert Plant talked about meeting Elvis and the two sung "Love Me" Say what you want about Elvis...but a great influence to have if your a singer...he put a lot of feeling in his music.
ahhh.. I'm a massive zepp AND elvis fan, but I gotta say, this don't TOUCH the kings version. Nice try though, just don't think the marshall gain does this song any favours.
Zeppelin, could and can play anything from any where and from any one and make it sound awesome, some people say that the beatles or the stones are the biggest band of all time ( I say Zeppelin is) but LZ is no doubt the most talented of all
I'm always amazed at how Zeppelin can take someone else's song and play it and you would've thought the whole time it was theirs to begin with. Great chemistry to back up superb talent.
I know I had it on my old iPod cuz it had a different library but it broke, I was pissed I listened to that concert over and over the 24 minute version of Whole Lotta Love was the best
I don't think that we are referring to the same conflict..I was clearing up the matter in witch the Pro shot video was in fact Earls court...Yes the Audio was from 73...South Hampton< I'listen to it again...I have the original silvers...one of my favorites from the 73 era...hamburg and Liverpool are also fantastic...South Hampton :) thanks for lighting a fire under my seat!!!!!
No, it is most assuredly not fake, simply rare footage from what appears to be one of their nights at Earl's Court in May of 1975. Zeppelin video is far and few between.
This is absolutely Not authentic 75 footage from earls court...I have over 1000 units of official and bootleg material to date. Simply this is a staple 73 performance during the Whole Lotta Love medley.
Sorry mate....The pro video is From earls court...There is no doubt about that...But the audio is 73...the original bootleg was called "April fools day "( April 1st 1973 Paris) For many years there was large dispute that was finally put to rest by DAVID LEWIS.....The gig is from Hamburg same leg of the tour...One of my favorites! If you need any info....I'm the go to guy!
Audio is from Southhampton 1973...I created the vid. I have the whole concert and I don't think Plant would refer to Southanpton all night if he were in Paris.
@ChristellaKury Anyhow, I never was able to understand disputes about SUCH details. They felt good, I still enjoy listening to them 37 years later... well, who cares then?
What? The video doen't line up, FAKE! Lol naw, jk no one but Page could play like that, no one but Bonham could drum like that, and Plant is unmistakable. I can't actually make out Jonsey, but I'm sure he killed too.
Supurb video synching to this amazing video. There is also another great video clip of this song from Australia at the end of {I believe} the 1972 Tour. Its one of the outdoor shows that Zeppelin did that was captured live on Australian television. But again, great job with this one. It must have taken you a long time to do it.
Mick Taylor and Randy Rhodes are also up there! Taylor wasn't all that flamboyant, but the dude could play. Randy "Revelation Mother Earth", also top notch in my book!
Thats a stupid arguement. Zep has always been my band, but ACDC has definately earned their place in history. Rarely do you ever have 4 of the most gifted musicians in 1 group like you do with Zep. Maybe Rush or Cream, but even they didn't strike a chord with the huge # of people that Zep did, AND STILL DOES', and Zeps been gone almost 30 yrs. Think about that! PS, I know Rush/Cream r 3 piece
Saw your page. Very Cool. That is great criteria on being a "Real" Zep fan! The only one I wasn't sure of was why they started the "Swan Song" label. Ahmet sold Atlantic to Warner Bros? They also had trouble with some album covers, namely Zep 1V. Like you, at your age I was a hard core fan, never bought into the new wave crap at the time, and had my hair 1/2 way down my back. My buddies and I saw The Song Remains at the midnight movies over 80 times between 1981-1986. Awesome at the theater!

All U Zeppelin fans out there...realize this is an Elvis song that Robert always wanted to play. He and the group played this tune many times over the course of their being. We're gonna have a party to....niiiiiiight!!!!!!!!!! RIP J.H.B.
Elvis called them his evil nephews. Once when Zeppelin visited Elvis at the mansion, they all began to sit down after joking around in the darkened room; suddenly they heard desperate cries and epithets emanating from beneath the 350 pound Peter Grant. He accidentally sat on Elvis's father: Vernon. LOL.
You guys don't read the comments or you can't read at all. The original of this song was by Brenda Lee, Elvis did it in one of his (not very good, except the first 3) films. Elvis influenced Zeppelin? Elvis influenced everybody, he changed the world! And look at the childish idiotcy of some people: I've been given a -1 for saying where the Zeppelin name came from. Whoever that was: GROW UP! In the early 80s Plant, Page & Jeff Beck, did a record of 50s R&R covers under the name The Honeydrippers
Thanks for posting this. Once I had the 50s versions of this song by Brenda Lee (who was 16!) and Elvis. Zeppelin do it kinda slow, part of their Hard Rock - later called Heavy Metal - style. Still, what a gem! Great stuff!
I see comments about the Zeppelin name controversy. Von Zeppelin was the inventor of the first airship, used widely during WW1 before aiplanes, pictured on the first 2 Zeppelin albums. The famous crash & burn of the Zeppelin is an historical event. The "bitch" had a point...
