OK, thanks. What size are they? They would be easily confused with RBCs if they are of similar size. I saw research indicating that there are two double flagalla in the spiro that meet in the middle. This has interesting implications when your videos are viewed.
Thank you SO MUCH for this. I've been reading till cross-eyed about my new Lyme Disease diagnostic discovery that I'd stumbled upon myself after many years of varied wrong diagnoses. Actually, what I'd begun to picture eating away at my brain tissues was actually MORE scary than your informative images turned out to illustrate. Bless you.
Wow, thank you so much for this. They've been multiplying unchecked in my body for 21 years whilst the medical profession have misdiagnosed me as having M.E.
What an incredibly....informatinve video. Can someone please post to different Lyme videos for other to view. I see videos in response to, but do not know how to make the application. Some "computer savvy Lymie" out there willing? Appreciate all of your hard work and for sharing it lymebug. :)
I can only post a video response to 1 other video on You Tube. You can post the link to this video in forums or other places by copying the code in the url box in the top right of the screen. Thanks Stan
I highly recommend viewing this video if you have lyme. Seeing the cyst form after being subjected to an antibiotic is exactly what I've imagined all these years, but now that I see it. It confirms my worst fears. They protect themselves and survive harsh environments. It's very difficult to eradicate.
By far the best video about borrelia on the web! The cyst form is obvious for all to see, and the colonies are astoundingly clear. The reaction of the spirochete to penicillin (it forms a cyst)is a lesson for all doctors who prescribe amoxicillin or penicillin for Lyme-- YOU PROBABLY ALSO NEED TO ADD A CYST BUSTER like Tinidazole in order to stop this puppy from simply relapsing back into a spirochete from a cyst when the penicillin is withdrawn!! Wow.. this illness is so complex-- !
Thanks much...I wish I could look at these bugs again someday. All the footage and pics I took were from a 4 month time frame back in 1999. I feel like it was a calling as I didn't know anything about Lyme was in 1998 and stumbled into a Lyme lab with a fresh eye. It was quite an intense period.
Are these cysts forming after penicillin is added, or are they L-forms? Can you tell the difference between a cyst and an L-form (cell wall deficient form)? The literature is contradictory.
Is there any other chemical you can add to create cysts, as seen in your video? What about adding hydrogen peroxide?
I don't really know what a L-form looks like I think it's a term Lida uses, maybe others. I just call this form cysts cause thats what it seems like. If it's truley something that can come back to life I'd have to try this again. I think others have brought spiros back from cysts. Brorson's or Alan MacDonald.
Nice video. Are the round objects you call 'cysts' in the final frame not rbc's?

Not RBC's. All the spiro vids and pics were from Bb31 cultures in BSK agar. No blood or human samples.

What kind of a microscope would you need to pick up a spirochete? What power? Thank you.

Some day the medicine will take care of us, long term Lyme sufferers, beyond the limits of your short guidelines to treat us!

For anyone who isn't being helped by doctors, try the lymestrategies group on Yahoo. They're great! Lots of people getting better there.

Has anyone considered? that the heavy spraying of Chemtrials, may have contributed to our susceptability to Lyme Disese?
