loved this LP but can someone explain it to me abit? first time iv saw penumbra. Is this the first in the series? is Black Plague another game or just the same game but part 2 of it, like is it all on the same disk.. also is this game linked to amnesia? If so which came first etc.. the story in this is lacking, but still great non the less, love watching it an shall continue too, but can someone answer ALL my questions? theres alot but thanks :P

@CRileymcr The Penumbra games have nothing to do with Amnesia aside from them being made by the same people. Black Plague is a separate sequel to Overture and continues where this game left off, explaining a lot of the stuff from the first game. The story is actually very detailed, but its told mostly through notes and diaries as well as the dialogue from both games. If you're observant and pay attention, you also find out what took and killed the spider-eating man :D

The fact that frictional barely ever let's you see any other human beings in their games makes them much scarier. Like when I saw that dark figure at the end of the hall when I played this game I got really freaked out

I guess I understand that the story was a little rushed for Penumbra because it was all that stood between the popular demand for a game and its release, but something's wrong when you can jump straight to a games sequel without missing anything but some disembodied voice named Red. Luckily I have Penumbra Collection, with all three games, so for me it's just like a very long game. I didn't even get the ending credits at the end.

.................well the game designers did a good job with the closing you must admit, the *thump* to make the lights go out and two doors on either side so no mater where you walked they got you! but the problem with it was they did not include any actual people throughout the ENTIRE GAME

I finished this after playing for a good 3 or 4 hours that night. It was about 3 in the morning, and when the lights started going out, I ran to the back corner and sat there till they came up all the way to the end of the hall... I sat there for a while, then I turned my game off and found out that was the end in the morning.

It took me 9 hours to finish Overture. I did not kill any "animal" in my playthrough in hard mode. You should try it. The spiders will become a pain in the a**.
