She is so very good, Take no notice of sussexsaus if Burt Bacharach said Cilla Black's version was the definitive version it was a long time ago and he was being polite. Cilla Black is a lovely funny lady but as Frankie Howard used to say to her I don't know which is flatter ,her voice or her chest. Go for the Dionne Warwick version would be my advice .

I love what she does with this. Maybe just a few too many vocal acrobatics too early but she really makes the song her own. I personally prefer Cher's original movie version but it's a hard song to get wrong.

Ron indeed had a rich career and his BB CD shows his admiration and respect towards this great composer BUT this song was meant to be performed by a WOMAN and Joss Stone has been one of the best ones displaying the bitterness of the deserted lover I was trying to compare the versions here on youtube... well, judgement is yours :)
