Need advice, mine is missing and the garage where it is dont have the experience to track it. Metering unit is new, new plugs, new injectors, new distributor, good compression on all pots...could it be the pump in the boot? as under load its clearing, but the warmer it gets the worse the miss gets... Any advice gratefully rx, I am on sidjames20@hotmail.co.uk if you can shed any light or know of any GOOD mechanics/ garages in the south of the UK.. Driving me mad not being able to enjoy it fully.
I bought this glorious car in Montrose a few weeks ago. Last Sunday evening, with the top down, we took it through the Mersey tunnel at 5000 rpm. The sound was reminiscent of a World War 2 Spitfire in full battle mode! Make this one of the cars to drive before you die. Awesome 70's styling and one of the last true British sports cars. I plan to restore it to it's original glory, and along with my son, drive it to Monza for the 2011 Italian GP. Ferrari eat your heart out.
Respond to this video... Is that right? You've bought Huey? I did not know if it was on the road or even had been scrapped. It has not been in the TR Register since I sold it - make sure you join! Perhaps one day I'll see it again in the flesh, I saw it on Pistonheads a few weeks ago - if only I had some spare cash!!
What a fabulous looking car and such excellent photos!! You really do have some brilliant pictures on here. What ever possessed you to part with such a gorgeous looking car? Absolutely love those randomly taken old shots on the road, priceless today. I too once had a Triumph Vitesse MKII convertible, I had to let her go and quite often wonder where she is today.
Excellent video, top tune and a definite thumbs up from me. :-)
