I watched this(Masked Rider Ryuki) before 5 years back but it was out in Japan during 2002.The riders are based on the 12 Chinese Zodiac creatures i think:Rat,Bull,Goat,Dragon,Sna­­­ke etc.About the fight btween the monsters from the mirror world then showndown of the riders against each other.Snake's the antagonist i think.The next part is about Masked Rider 555 where the riders used phones to transform and then Masked Rider Kabuto(Beetle)which riders are based on the insects

@kivagarulu2 The eponymous character is not always the actual protagonist. For example, Zelda has never been the protagonist in a game. Its always Link. And their can be more than one anyway. Either way, what I meant was in regards to the final rider who would face Odin. The protagonist rarely ever dies to leave the (basically) sidekick to save the world. So in a sense, Ren being the final rider who actually saves the world makes him a main protagonist, even if he wasnt the main one throughout
