For a dunk to be considered athletic the dunker should do something impressive BEFORE they get to the rim. Hanging on a rim doesn't demonstrate jack shit, especially since all NBA rims since 1979 have a breakaway mechanism that sags them 6" down upon 220lbs of pressure (or body weight). Watching Yao hang here is about as impressive as watching an avg size person hang for a half second on some monkey bars with their feet dangling 5 inches off the ground. Woopy fuckin doo lol
