  • hyper velocity .22 are much better and more accurate. I tried some cheap brand sub-sonics and had a bunch of misfires and they were hitting all over the place. But they were not the same brand as these.

  • love the super calibris

  • do these cycle in a semi auto? or will it be like an airsoft springer where you have to cock it your self every time you shoot

  • @LAYITLOOSE the 22 sss will cycle but the powderless rounds will not

  • i used the 29 grain ammo and it was super loud onn a shotgun

  • Great vid.

    Thanx and be safe

  • May I ask where your accent is from?

  • @MarvelousSeven sure u can ... im not sure were i got it no one else in my family has it i have a video talking about it called "dude were are you from"

  • @MarvelousSeven hahaha how weowd is it this guys is tawking bout guns and he sounds cute hahahaahahah

    i am pissing myself hahaha

  • good video, yes two great and awesome .22 rounds. Not many people pay attention to the great ammo Aguila makes.

  • As a fact, the 60 gr subsonic will leave a lot of lead in your barrel and from a pistol it starts to drop at 25 meters.

  • @RiderAnthonyMartini ya but we are nice enough to not say anything

  • using a rifle with the standard 22lr rounds will barely affect ur hearing... Still, wearing anything to help dampen the noise is important.... There are plenty other things in the world that you are around all the time that are much louder and worse for your hearing. , yes a few rounds wont do anything, BUT if ur planning on shooting alot.. and being out for a couple hours... wear that ear protection. Cars, movies, music, etc affect it enough, why not reduce the wear on ur ears.

  • @KingZolem an aguila is an eagle in spanish :) just saying. eagles arent mythalogical

  • It's not agua (water) it's Aguila pronounced ah-geel-ah, based on the mythological bird.

  • Will you lose hearing with a .22 short out of a rifle?

  • @L1NG4N I don't a lot shoot them so I can't say experience but I bleave the shorts are subsonic and don't think it will harm your hearing

  • @L1NG4N i dont think so. sounds like fireworke to me. sounds like a little pop frm half a mile away. (aprox.)

  • @L1NG4N no not subsonic i use remington 22 subsonic ammo and its loud but not that loud i live in the city and shoot in my shed and its not hurting my ears :)

  • @L1NG4N dont listen to them retards. put hearing protection on. just cause it doesnt hurt doesnt mean its not doing damage. time is the problem not how loud the sound is. over a period of time lets say shooting 22 all day you lost some of your hearing. noone is gonna realize this so they assume its fine. but i dont care when you get older and your hearing shits you'll know why.

  • @L1NG4N a short out of an autoloader rifle will hurt your ears. out or a bolt action, not so much. those 60gr rounds he's showing is NOT a short by the way

  • @L1NG4N no not at all

ps shorts you can't even here

  • @L1NG4N firing any 22 from a non-semi auto is pretty low decibel. Since 22 semis fire from an open bolt using simple blowback they tend to be much louder for the shooter.

  • "Aguila"means Eagle....

  • @renegss Cool thinks

  • I love you Jenny

  • appreciate your review, good job, love the sub-sonic, great for hunting rats.

  • thanks for the info buddy, i can also attest to hearing issues being a total suck fest.

  • I imagine beings that its from mexico its probably pronounce A-GWE-LA

  • All fire arms can hurt your hearing...The louder the gun the faster the damage...thats why we wear ear protection...

  • This guy sounds like a downtard

  • @crazychance0 You sound like a fuck up, but I doubt anyone has ever told you that before, because they probably felt bad about you weighing 500 lbs and living in your mom's basement.

  • Thanks for the video, I am working on a short barreled 10/22 project and hope to keep the report low enough that I dont get hearing loss when hunting (at range always have ear protection). Glad to hear that the 60 grain SSS cycle an action, does a standard .22 LR twist rate work on those heavy bullets???

  • These are fired using only the primer gas expansion, no propellant. Usually, shooting a regular .22 round will damage hearing if it is a short barreled weapon. A rifle with a regular .22 round can still damage hearing too so you must be careful. In this case with the subsonic rounds it would be a good idea to wear earmuffs but you really shouldn't have to worry about ear damage with these.

  • This is a very helpful video. I appreciate you sharing this. Im going to purchase some of these rounds soon.

Ignore the cowardly chumps that like to post insults on youtube.

  • @chodykumbra Meant to vote up but accidentally pressed down.

  • hearing this guy just plain pisses me off

  • @tripleblack2

Wow sorry. I guess all the disabled people in the world should just knock it off because they are being totally unreasonable by attempting to exist in your presence. Next time a deaf or hearing impaired person speaks around you, you should just punch them right in the face. Because they are being totally UNREASONABLE. How dare they allow their lifes challenges to flare up YOUR totally reasonable ANGER PROBLEM. YOU MAKE ME SICK.

  • Sorry but a .22 will 100 percent definitely not hurt your hearing unless your in a small room or are an infint...... And lay off the crack cocaine.....

  • @FayettcountyMan A 22 can and will hurt your hearing just because u might not notice it dose not mean it's not happning

  • @Hissatsu5 agree but no need for hearing, i was shooting a .22 revolver and it wasnt loud enough to hurt

  • @Hissatsu5 lol really? have you ever shot a 22?? i doubt you have if you think it will hurt your ears. a 22 is the quitest of all guns and you have no worries about loosing hearing unless you hold your ear right next to the muzzle of the barrel, or if your shooting a pistol as they are loud....

  • @moniters If you shoot full power, full velocity 22 shells, they can cause hearing damage, trust me.

  • @Hissatsu5 most hearing damage comes from sustained noise so no your .22 subs wont do anything as they are quiet even without a silencer. a high powered rifle is another deal.

  • @FayettcountyMan

Actually a 22. pistol can be pretty damn loud.

  • @FayettcountyMan Pal, you sound like a complete moron. Your remarks are extremely short sited and the personal attacks were uncalled for, especially since what he's saying has been medically proven. But I'm sure you know more when you say a (and I quote) "a .22 will 100 percent definitely not hurt your hearing"....tool. Try firing multiple HV rounds through a short barreled semi-auto then getting back to me you novice plinking ass bitch.

  • its sucks having hearing problems my mum is deaf in one ear from being beaten by my dad the wanker

  • This guy is scared of life period. God damn man stop shaking.

  • @thewhitemosquito well if people constantly focused on my pronunciation rather than the products im reviewing id be nervous to post anymore on here too....

  • A .22 WILL NOT DAMAGE HEARING GET OFF MY JOCK IVE SHOT MINE FINE FOR YEARS

  • @TheDylanshepard yes they will you just don't notice it

  • @TheDylanshepard Haha and in another few you'll realize you were a simple minded idiot for not wearing ear protection in the first place..........

    Deaf man says what?

P.S. I like your all caps, we can all tell how upset and flustered you're getting over the internet

  • @TheDylanshepard dude shut up really

  • Stop frickin shaking

  • WITTLE WABBITS!

    Someone had to say it.....

  • Thanks for the video bud. It was really infomative, and by the way sorry about your hearing. Thanks again :)

  • Nice video. One of the most informative on youtube. Keep up the great stuff. Waiting to see you other shooting video.

I might message you some questions later on if you dont mind?

    Thanks for the great video.

  • A 22. period wont damage your hearing its not loud enough

  • @TheDylanshepard its loud enough to damage hearing they can even brake to sound barrier.

  • @Hissatsu5 That sucks about your hearing man. I can tell I have some hearing loss from Iraq but nothing like what you deal with. Good on you for pushing through.

  • @Daytonaman675 Thank u for serving

  • @TheDylanshepard the aguila sniper subsonic wont make much noise but some of the high velocity ones are pretty loud. my lapua midas are quiet enough to not need hearing protection but the others like other aguila models and remmy, cci, federals, and shit are loud and my left ears pretty beat up from it. just because its a 22 does not mean it cant cause hearing damage.

  • @TheDylanshepard let me know how that 159db works out for you buddy. Yeah thats over the osha hearing damage level. Rember hearing dmg is cumulative.

  • you have an annoying voice

  • I shoot the aquila powderless in my garage no problem, with a pellet trap. Great for practice

but you will need a bolt action, you can shoot them in a auto, but have fun manually removing the shell after every shot

  • sorry for your hearing loss i use earmuffs all the time u should to but thanks for this video very nice video

    thank you for uploading it

  • sweet vid. wood u recomend shooting these types of round through a semi auto gun or do u think it wood jam it alot since there not as much power

  • @pyropaintball1313 u can shoot the SSS bullets in a semi auto but not the powderless ones

  • @Hissatsu5 wat wood happen if i did shoot the powderless in a semi auto?

  • @pyropaintball1313 the gun would not cycle (eject) the brass and you would have to use your fingernail or knife to get the brass out

  • @Hissatsu5 actually just got some of these and run them through my beretta U22, they don't feed well but you can still shot them. they don't cycle but don't get stuck, you just rack the slide after each shoot and only feed 5 at a time in the mag

  • @Hissatsu5 no the gun would cycle you would have to get a weaker recoil spring

  • @pyropaintball1313 if you use these in a semi auto you will get a feed jam = use them in a bolt action/ single shot only!

  • Thanks Hissat great info

  • I shoot them same roundsin my garage at targets. and by the way i have the same speech impediment you have.

  • the way they are pronounced is Ah-gee-la

  • One night I saw a coyote approaching my kitten's living area. I didn’t want to disturb neighbors so I unloaded a group of cb shorts in him. This really pissed him off and he started charging to me. I hid in the house but at least he lost interest in my kitten’s den

  • I live in the country, but my problem with shooting in my backyard is that, i live about 100 yards from a public school (its really dumb they built it in the country). So i have to go a couple 100 yards into my woods just to shoot. Do you think i could shoot the super colibri bullets in my backyard with out getting the cops called on me.

  • @hunterguy28 There no louder then a air gun so don't think any one will hear it

  • @Hissatsu5 Lol i tried to shoot a rabbit with them and the fuck just squired around out there

  • @hunterguy28 buy a supprsor or build one if you dont feel like fiilling out a shit load of atf form 4 paperwork or getting a class 3 license. building one is much easier but much more illegal but i dont give shit.

  • @hunterguy28 build a sueprssor. its much easier than filling out a shot ton of atf form 4 paperwork or getting a class 3 license. you can look up instructions online and get all the neccasry parts at the local home depot or lowes. shove your dick in that you atf assholes.

  • @RYANSCHLESINGER Ya that's illegal so i wouldn't do that.

  • Bull shit, there is no that round has no powder in it. That would cause the lead to stick in the barrel..

  • @isamtator It's true look it up

  • @isamtator it's primer fired. and it does exist i shot a few today. and they smell pretty bad.

  • Must have a hell of a hot primer, then, becouse I had a .22 mag, and a 9mm that I put some ammo threw it. The .22 had had a shell, with low powder. It was the last round in that tarus I had held eight rounds. I was shooting my springfield 9mm xd, and the it was the second to last round. I had fired, and and could not tell where my round went. So I fired again, and the slug from the last round hit the paper terget, while the other one was stuck in the very end of the barrel.

  • My grand father was hunt one year he had a sweet 16. he was using cheap federal ammo (when they first came out they where the worst ammo out there lot of mis fires) well, he sees a doe (in doe season) here pulls the triger it recoiled, he fired agian and the sot from the first round fell out the end of the barrel, along with the other both shot cups lay on the ground at his feet, and all the while the doe was running away. He was pissed as you can imagine.

  • @isamtator yup its recomended for pistols only that way it wont get stuck in the barrel they wont cycle in a semi-auto great for killing rabbits

  • Sorry about your hearing. Great Video. Thanks for the additional info, keep up the good work and keep shooting! We shooters NEED to stick together in a world where so many are against our sport for no good reason! Again Thanks!

  • @MrSimonGirty P.S. I forgot to tell everyone I shot a squirrel once with the 20 grain bullet at about 4-5 yards and the squirrel just jumped up in air and ran off up a nearby tree, never to be seen again. I hunt squirrels to eat and defiantly don't recommend them for that application. Maybe the 60 grain would be better IDK I have not tried it yet but plan to.

  • he sounds like that guy with the mustache from family guy (OH NOOOOOW)

  • Well-done.

  • you look like your on crack

  • Aguila is actually from Helotes, Tx

  • good video. just becareful some subsonics are not powerful enough to leave a long rifle and the second shot will ruin your day. keep posting

  • Well i have shoten thousands and thousands of .22 rounds without hearing protection, and my hearing is still sharp as ever but it probablt is a good idea to wear ears anyways.

  • Ya because a 22 is loud enough to deafen you right. Wow 22s are already quiet

  • what are these rounds called exactly ive been trying to find them but i dont know the exact name of the ammo?

  • you know what? I'm sorry, I've been mispronouncing it, my GF just informed me it's A-Gihl-la". My bad. But, still, the same, I love their Colibri rounds, and their target rounds!

  • just to let you know, I'm sure someone already has, it's "a-gwi-la" ammo. And, yeah, I love their ammo. Their stuff is great.

  • thank you for your video, the information was very helpfull.

  • elmer fudd.... im sry but you just sound like him not a bad thing

  • qwhyitor dan a pellot gun

  • thanks for the info, i have been looking at the difference between the 2 different bullets. I did not know the little ones did not have any powder, works just off the cap.

    thanks friend

  • thanks for the info, i have been looking at the difference between the 2 different bullets. I did not know the little ones did not have any powder, works just off the cap.

    thanks friend

  • I shoot these in my basement. quite enough not to freak out the neighbors but still accurate.

  • Have a Mossberg 151m semi-auto. Wonder if the Winchester 40 HP subs would work properly?

  • Great video man, I also have been looking at this type of ammo. has anyone fed these in a ruger 10\22 ?

  • @BleedID love that gun.

  • its pronounced "Ah-Gee-la"

  • How did you lose your hearing? If somone jumped you let me know i wanna beat the fuck out of them...

  • @bigbenelisbe i was slapped by some check i never met befor she was confused and ignorant and i paid for it that was also the first time i was K.O.

  • @Hissatsu5 no way, thats messed up. so she basically compressed your eardrum and ruptured it? anyways thats besides the point of the video. i was looking for something along the lines of this for recreational shooting with the girlfriend and hunting some rabbits and squirrels without her being afraid of the gun.

  • @cmamtower yes it was very painful

there both quite but the sss is better for hunting and the other one is more like a carnival gun bullet or shooting gallery ammo both are fun to shoot

  • @Hissatsu5 you got knocked out by a girl??

  • gun powdel

  • Please don't listen to the insecure losers who feel the need to bring someone else down rather than thanking them for sharing useful information. I had never seen either of these rounds before and I found the video very helpful. Where did you find these? Aguila is not a name I've ever seen in the stores I frequent.

  • Really great info! I have to find some of these (I didn't know they existed). Man, your videos are really wonderful. You brain is so alive and curious- I love it!

  • u can just say eagle brand instead kick ass bullets too try cci sub sonics they will help with your ear only 29 grains

  • great review im gonna try them out :)

  • Oh and great review man.

  • Damn im sorry man. I just watched the rest of the video and realized you lost your hearing. Im so sorry, ignore my last comment.

  • lol elmer fudd

  • The colibri isn't worth getting, to weak and it is expensive considering that has no gunpowder and less lead. Now the SSS sounds good as it hits harder than you average airgun with 60 grains, vs the 14-16 grain airgun pellet. I have never shot them though, they are so hard to find(even online) but I will eventually shoot it...at some point...maybe.

  • when you tried to pronounce it

you said water in spanish :D

  • Hey man, you have to learn how to use the focus on your cam. It would make the close ups way better. Just google the your camera and focus or auto focus. Solid video otherwise.

  • one benefit is being able to shoot within city limits and get away with it.(Just make sure you always ahve a 110% safe backstop.)

  • Aguila

    Ah-gee-luh

    It means Eagle in spanish.

  • cool thanks

  • Comment removed

  • sorry i cant take you serious you sound like the gay guy on family guy oh no

  • is the subsonic 60 grain quiet enough to shoot in backyard with neighbors like 100 feet away?

  • i cant speak for your neighbors but i thank it will be alright

  • yes most definitely alot of the aguila ammo is only safe to shoot out of pistols though. Just make sure to check the package fopr any warnings on this.

  • @zboyco no

  • you can only shoot those in a bolt action right ?? because if you had a semi auto those bullets don't have enought power to move the chamber back

  • you can shoot the sss in semi auto guns

  • Good info, I'm doing a little research on different ammo and it's nice to hear a person's opinion on something they use.

  • if you shot those sniper subsonic rounds would they tick off neibhors?

  • i thank it will depend on the neighbors and how gun sensitive thay are but i never had a problem with my neighbors

  • @Hissatsu5 oh ok, that helps. One last question, will it echo?

  • i cant speak for your yard and how its made up but ever thing that make a sound echos(even a duck's quack) but it depends on your yard on how bad it is going to echo

  • no,it is subsonic

  • you cant pronounce your r's u say supel instead of super and gun powdel instead of powder lol

  • uh-gee-luh. Since you asked. The SSS is great for pest control even on large mammals.

  • about ten years ago when i first got into shooting i would go to the range and never use hearing protection, then my buddy let me shot his .357 magnum, indoors! when i fired the first shot i new what i'd done, now i have ringing in my ears! funny how you think you're invinceable when you're young, everything catches up with you later!

  • learn how to frickin talk geesh.

  • he sounds like the pedophile from family guy

  • @lexmark136 Your Youtube account is named after a printer.

  • @ThatZkid or is the printer named after my user account? that is the question.

  • @lexmark136 the world may never know

  • I've shot the 20 grain through plywood from about 20 yrds away. They aren't very accurate out of my standard 10-22 (probably don't spin fast enough to stabilize) but are great for little varmints in your back yard.

  • Great information, thanks for posting, I will buy and try some of that quiet ammo.

  • Good vid man. I shoot both. Don't mind the ignorant post by Bbkflys.

I have a vid on the Super Colibris posted.

  • ove this video thnks for all the great information

  • yall chill its not his fault

  • he has a speech impediment. He still has great videos and i dont think it has any effect on the video. i can understand him perfectly. 5*

  • @Bbkflys youre not the only one.

  • is it just me or does he kinda sound like adam sandler from water boy lol good vid i always use aguila

  • Nervous

  • ive always loved all the options offered by aguila! ive had bad batches of rem and win 22lr and dont think they are any better in the end. when it comes to silence the aguila sin powder it the one

  • i dont want any of that beaner shit..i would rather buy american made bullets like remington or federal

  • If you didnt know, aguila is made by remington. Also its no beaner shit. Respect mexicans.

  • wat do u mean aguila is made by remington...also im american and there were /are people who might lose /could have lost their job {my dad} so i support jobs in the usa instead of made in mexico or made in china stuff...just my opinion :D

  • do they have plants in the usa?

  • Maybe Mexicans would get more respect from Americans if they....I don't know did use the United States as their dumping ground for their unwanted citizens. It is hard to respect a people who can't even be bothered to respect Americas immigration laws.

  • i agree 100% damn fence hoppers

  • @lordfinx It's not a "dumping ground" for their unwanted citizens. In fact, it's not that the country doesn't want the citizens, it's that the citizens don't want the country. Do you have any idea the amount of political strife going on over there right now? I'm not saying its right to come here and illegally take the jobs of Americans, but your analysis was callous and ignorant in nature.

  • I brought a paket of the aguila 60 grain sss and got a 1 meter group at 50 meters. through my cz which usualy gives very tight groups. the bullet was also tumbling. I read up on it and it seams you need a 1 in 9' twist for it to stabilise in flight. My cz only has 1 in 16'

  • try it at closer range, i shoot it at 25 yards and it drops 2" (more than a regular bullet) but it is ok,other than that

  • it goes like phew!

  • haha, agua. step one: the mexican people dont remove sylables out of their words either

    ah-gwee-lah

sorry. good review though. 5 stars.

  • quietoll...
