  • i really liked that scorpion kick

  • Better question, what cue does it have? LOOK AT THE FLEX!

  • I have never seen a better break than that one! I wonder how many balls dropped, all of them?

  • dude he almost break the stick

  • *High speed* camera? I don't think so.

  • @BryceFritzel Why don't you think so?

  • @oskeexy Because a high-speed camera is a camera that is capable of shooting MORE than 60 frames per second. It does that to achieve a smooth slow motion when played back at 30 fps. The camera that shot this most likely shot only 30 fps, and you just slowed it down, and increased the time in between each frame. Sure, it's slow motion, but not a high-speed camera.

  • @BryceFritzel Ok, nice observation, you clearly care more than me about cameras. :P

  • i shatered a cue like that once

  • when you get free cues, i guess its okay to snap em in half

  • wow, how long is that cue? looks like he is choking up a real lot on it

  • That stick bend is amazing.

  • what a brake!!

i would like to have one of this rubber cues.5*

  • joshuaagar u really r an idiot

  • he nearly breaks his cue..what a reckless break!

  • your such an idiot

  • if i'm idiot then what are you. You are the most idiot person the world has yet to know. You think im idiot for just saying that his break his reckless because your cue nearly breaks. Look at Johnny Archer, he had one of the best break and often buys new break cue..

  • @joshuaagar I don't think that was a reckless break, break cues withstand a lot of abuse, I know, my break cue has seen a fair share of it. As for new cues, a lot of competitors buy frequently different equipment and if you are sponsored why not experiment? ;)

  • @joshuaagar It's not unusual to see the cue bend. Hohmann gets a little more bend than most power breakers, but it's definitely not wreckless. His form is as close to humanly perfect as possible.

  • that's how alot of people break to control their cue, even at the risk of their cue, plus those break shafts are quite sturdy

  • @joshuaagar also.... go watch the match where this vid is taken from. I believe it was an IPT tournament of him vs manilo or however you say it. His breaks were incredible. Excellent cue ball control and some of the most beautiful break and layouts I've seen in an 8 ball match.

  • Great video, Solly!

  • Not filmed with a high speed camera, the video was just slowed down

  • Wow, my camera does the same thing. I must have a high speed camera.

  • poor cue

  • watch Hohhmans hip when he starts to hit the cueball because that's the thing here.. his hip and arm are in the same ''position'' when the cueball is hitted. he uses his weight perfectly.. awesome..

  • Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!!

  • Hmm I dont really see it... I actually expected to see his body getting launched towards the table more. But his body starts with a small towards table motion and then goes upwards, while his arm (logically) has a forward motion

  • A cue-shaft can bend withou breaking 45°... i think nearly 90° are possible!

u won't see me breaking with my schon cue ;)

  • His right foot just thinks, 'f*** this I'm off.'

I'd like to see the effect on the pack...

  • That is 101% complete follow through. bet the balls broke up pretty well with maybe 2-3 into the hole already. great video!

  • nice vid.. i would have never thought that a cue can bend that much..

  • this isn't a high speed camera, this is called slow motion.

  • Actually this was recorded with a VERY high speed camera. A high speed camera operates so as to run on more frames per second. So when it is slowed down as it is here it allows for a more fluid slow motion. Not like the herky jerky slow motion you see sometimes. When I saw the title 'high speed camera' I knew exactly what it was talking about. I knew it would be a slow motion break before I even saw it.

  • lol his leg.

  • thorsten has a tremendous break with excellent cue control. that was a great ipt match. i hope the upcoming ipt tournament will be just as good - but with actual payouts to the winners this time.

  • This is a great video. Look at the way his hip swing progressively with his arms.

  • born in 96? I can see. Oh these young people these days...

  • Um, why didn't his cue break?

  • 'Cause it's wood, not a piece of dry spaghetti. Even a baseball bat bends when a player hits the ball.

  • hmm very interesting lol cheers

  • check his queue

  • thanks for sharing

  • Brilliant stuff Solly :)
