Hi SergeantRC, I already have the Phoenix Sim, I agree its a great tool to have but flying even a 400 Blade is easier on the phoenix than my 120SR is in real life, The phoenix is a great training aid, Real Life, I still find it hard, Thanks for the comment though.
Great Flying, I think your video's are great, I wish I had half the skill you have, everytime I try to fly I feel sick, to worried about crashing I reckon, Maybe I should buy 2nd hand then the model wouldn't mean so much to me,
@jeepman012 try the phoenix flight simulator. I just bought it and its friggin awesome. I wish I had gotten it first and then tried to fly, instead of crashing 5 models and then buying it.
where do i get some orange floats like that and the little orange ball for my blade 400 dave ps love ur videos been watching them and moved my way up from msr to 120sr and my brand new banged up blade 400 :( ahahha
heli cam great. ground cam horrible. kinda takes away from the whole point. didnt finish watching. just being honest. if you go through the trouble of posting. why wouldnt you make sure both are good,. great flying and concept though.
The idea is terrific. But, you shouldn't have zoomed your ground camera so close to the heli, since it's not clear in what relation it was to the ground surface.
The orange bag has the function to land on water. You can notice the 2 bags underneath the RC helicopter and one on his tale so he can keep balance while landing on water.

Hi! I am experiencing with aerial recordings as well. My intention is to use a hat cam and at least one camera on the heli. Very much fun, can help to evaluate my piloting errors as well. And of course great fun to watch later.
I cant stand this Blade 400... Ive had one almost take my head off tracking blades.. this was literally out of the box for the first time, The speed controller went and the head speed Kicked up, going who knows how fast, then the head totally IMPLODED! One blade stuck in the wall and the other shattered on the far wall. I will never touch this aircraft ever again.
@vergaleta123 From your local hobby shop, but if you've never flown a heli before, you won't be able to fly this one. You need to start with a Blade MCX, then move on to a Blade mSR, then a Blade SR before you'll be good enough to fly this thing.
@frankovich213 NO! don't start off with the smaller ones, Only do that if you have money to. I teach people that have ZERO heli time.. Start off with the Blade Cp Pro2. It wont hover itself but its one of the best trainers out there, it can take you all the way to advanced. Even if you crash, parts are cheep. If you start off on the MCX, then go to the mSR, by then you spent alot of money on something that will just teach you to hover. the Blade SR is alright if your not looking to 'get into' it
is it standard with all helis where the bottom leans out to the right cuz every heli ive seen does it and mine does to and i try to trim it out but them me heli swifts to the othe side but my question is, is the heli supposed to be 100% horizontal or no just wondering so i will stop messing with the trim
They lean like that because the tail rotor is pushing the heli to the left in addition to countering the torque of the motor. It's normal, you can't trim it out.
It's normal. For clockwise blades the heli is always tilted slightly to the right, or it will drift left. The drift is caused by the tail rotor, which stops the heli rotating, but also produces a sideways force causing the heli to drift. You can't trim it, because it's not a roll deflection is a lateral drift.
very cool heli. I have the MCX and i understand it is nothing like this. I also have real flight g3.5 (simulator) so do u think this heli would be doable 4 me? also wondering what it's like inverse?
speaking of the learning curve, you should never have your antenna pointing to your heli like you have at 0:30, unless you wanna risk a lockout. reception is best when the antennas of the tx and the rx are parallel, and least if they are pointing at each other!
doesn't matter, applies to 2,4ghz as well. since most 2,4ghz receivers have 2 diversity antennas, the effect is less obvious, but that doesn't mean the effect isn't there.
