I watched the actual movie. Apparently, they made Yusei the true star of the show and made Yugi and Jaden the main side characters. I guess he deserves it since this did take place during his saga and for the fact that his show restored the ratings of the Yu-Gi-Oh! series. Plus he and Yami looks alike (true statement).

This isn't the first time LK made a pun about two characters dubbed by the same guy. There was also Seto and Brock (Pokemon) voiced by the same guy. Though for Yusei, it was Tristan's second voice. LK uses Tristan's first voice, because it sounds sooooo lame. He really sounds like that.
