Basically its however you look at it i consider it ok if you pay for a copy of mac but apple see it as breaking their contract

you wont get in trouble as steve jobs isnt gonna be going round your house making sure you dont have it lol. There are millions of poeple tha tuse hackintosh's laptops and they cant really get you in trouble becuase they would have to chearge all the millions of other people, its also better if you fix things for yourself so you cant get in any trouble with anything, e.g.: warez/illiegel software. with that laptop i say do it! :)

ok well i did an update, some were for ilife, imovie, final cut, quicktime, safari etc, but i left mac os x, security and time machine update alone, i installed to see if it would bust my laptop up and it did so i reinstalled, so people DONT DO THE UPDATES unless its quicktime, software updates. other than that ur good. thanks for the help Orteginho

when you installed darwin_boot what was the disk you specified as in for first disk second partition you type 1 for disk and 2 for partition unlike it specifies in the prompts

Ok if you have the iatkos v1.0i install the darwin boot loader the number of the hard drive is always 1 and the number of my partition for leopard is 2 so yeah it's 1 and 2..... it's different.

I can't find the boot thing in the util list on the installer.. wtf?

yeah you can't because you have iatkos v1.0iR2 the R2 in the customize menu you have to select the darwin boot...........there are going to be 4 options of darwin boot if you check the EFI you can only choose the 1&2 or the 1&3 not the 1-2 and 3 and if you check the one that is the darwin boot loader is ok....depends on you.
