  • Congrats!! Great tutorial!!

Love vintage dresses? Check out kookielala.dot.com

    See you soon! x

  • how much fabric did you use and how much would you recommend for someone who is 168 with heels on and wants the fabric to drag along the floor a bit?

  • @lalallaful hmmm that is TALL! MY GOODNESS! hmmm i think you will have to cut the fabric the other way as most chiffon is 150mt wide. it depends on how full you want the skirt i would say if your a size 8-10 aus i would go for 1.75mts of fabric and then just use the salvage edge are your side seams and the raw (freshly cut)edge as the top and hem. i hope this made sense? let me know :)

  • @peppermintymilk thanks it makes sense. yea im not tall but when i have heels on im fairly tall

  • thanks alot for this, it was reaally helpful :)

  • @baltoom001 My pleasure :)

  • You're a genius!! The elastic encased in the lace is such a great idea, and I have never thought of using my zipper foot to sew elastic in, I can't wait to try that. Thank you for sharing, you have one more subscriber now! :)

  • @MessyMama1 goodness your making me blush! Thank you for the sub :) yay

  • How do you get the top so wrinkled? did you use a loose stitch? :) thnx

  • @mrtschaap i use around a 2-3 stitch length and the gathers occur because the elastic i'm gathering it down to, is smaller and doesn't sit smoothly because there isn't enough room.

i achieve this gather look at the waist by stitching a channel for the small elastic band to sit and it does all the gathering work for me, but at the same time allows me to stretch the skirt out without it being constricted because i haven't stitched on to the elastic just around. i hope that helped :)

  • I've just watched all you videos and cant wait to try some of these projects for myself :-) can't wait for your next tutorial

  • @mersadiez89 Really!!? aaaww thank you! that means a lot to me :) i have a cute accessories tutorial coming up next and i hope you like it as much as the last. Maev
