The gall of AT&T execs to cut health-care benefits for workers even while they pay themselves MORE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN BONUSES speaks volumes about the character of these sub-human species. A special place in hell should be reserved for execs who feel no moral qualm at all in seeking to cut workers' incomes from $50K/year down to $35K/year through health-care cost-shifting and benefit cutbacks, EVEN WHILE THEY INCREASE THEIR OWN COMPENSATION + BONUSES! He blames the lack of properly educated Americans on the reason they have an issue finding employees? It's more likely because of at&t Mobility operating like a modern day sweat shop. The managers harass, intimidate, and finally fire employees... so fast they have burned through the local population and now have workers driving in from hours away. AT&T is definitely getting rid of the higher paychecks and hiring newbys at much lower wages. They change to job titles and create a new pay structure to hide the trade off. It is not unexpected.

Someone should ask him why he is spending millions on a new built house in Horseshoe Bay, and has bought another next door while his is built....oh and get this...the one he is in now...he is gonna tear down so he has a big yard. att just paid $140,000 to move him to Dallas and they are buying the homes, that cant sell in this market, for several top execs who had to move to Dallas with him. It is only costing att about $400k (average) X 60+ unsellable homes. NO wonder the stocks suck!!!
I like how Randall layed off 12,000 employees at the end of 2008 & the beginning of 2009. As that continues this idiot makes an announcement on 3/9/09 to HIRE 3,000 new employees for 2009. Dumbass is also spending over $175,000,000 to train managers' to work during a STRIKE instead of trying to ratify a contract for the workers.
Funny, he says he is having a delema finding good employees, but yet when they do have a crew of good workers they don't hesitate laying them off to hire workers for less money and less benifets. What do you expect if you create a new position at 50% of the pay that the current employees are making and not replacing people that are retiring. At&t is not listening to its customers. For past year I am called 4-5 xs a week asking me to upgrade internet speed. I have said no over 100 times and asked to be removed from calling list. At&t does not understand English and does not listen to its customers. When I say do not call, that does not mean only today, it means the next day, the next day, etc. Fed up with the service...
