i like your videos and there very well informed and ive ben practiceing what you have said and have increased my speed from 73 to 76 thankyou for these videos keep helping!
@knightsniper1 Yes you're right! That is why I have other videos showing you how to throw off speed pitches. In our new DVD series we show you how to throw 14 different pitches. Although you only need to perfect 3 to make it to any level
this is why i think guys like jamie moyer and livan hernandez are the better pitchers because they have so much movement and change speeds so well tht the hitter cant pick them up.
You're right! Change of speed, movement and location are what keeps the hitter off balance. If you can't throw hard then your curveball won't break as much either, nor will your circle change or anything else you throw. Take a look at our site, we have plenty of information about pitching grips, we even have a pitching grips dvd that show you how to throw 11 different pitches with proper mechanics. Thanks
Stride is super important, however, if you're teaching stride you need to include something about the front side. If your stride is indeed a full stride your going to struggle getting your body through the zone without a strong front side. If you're working on stride and front side, use the towel drill. set a towel snap point that's out of reach. This will compell the body to increase stride and incorporate the front side naturally and correctly.
Is there anyway to increase velocity besides this? I'm like 6'1" I do my full stride but I don't have the weight behind it (I'm 130 lbs) what can I do to compensate for that until I fill out?
Just going over these motions in open space I can feel a diference in my arm, much less stress. Hopefully this helps me get up to or passed the 80mph mark as a lefty pitcher thanks a lot!!!
@DyfnalltDH its not nescessarily that you have to be able to stride ur full height, although it is a great thing to be able to do. just get as long of a stride as possible
Location and movement is the most important

throwing hard is nice but if you have good off speed you will be better than having a fast fastball and not having any other good pitches

Helps with EXTENSION and hip power which is a lot of what this guy talks about. Great video. You can't have bad mechanics long tossing.

Throwing fast is not important. Placement and command is important.

Great video. I agree with pretty much everything you said. It sounded almost identical to Tom House's theory!
