How do you do a solo game when you have to use three parties to go through the final dungeon?

You gotta be careful with using Celes. She sometimes lapses into a "Runic" fit. I usually use someone else who can equip Ultima Weapon. However, Master's Scroll + Genji Glove works a bit better than Master's Scroll + Black Belt.

@adarkedninja Go to castle Figaro, tell the old man to travel to where ever it is (I forgot) and the castle will stop, you get the option to continue or stop to explore, obviously click to stop and then you run to the prison. Run though the door you used to get back into Figaro as Celes and Sabin. You make your way past the cave, and reach the castle I believe it's the entrance on the right (I'm not sure) that leads to a treasure. Kill the samurai looking guy and he'll drop it.

apparently, there're some items that actually lets you fight typhon and he doesn't blow you away.

Nice, the way I beat him is to equip edgar with the full imp set, turn him in to an imp and equip him with the dragoon boots and dragon horn. Decent enough dmg from a jump (1-4 attacks from dragon horn) and hope that whenever he sneezes you're airborne.

This works very well with Edgar. I set him up with Offering (I guess that's Master's Scroll on GBA) and Genji Glove, pair up the Ultima Weapon and Illumina, sell off all his weapons except drill and chainsaw, and make sure he wears mirage vest, as it'll keep him from getting hurt, thus making the Ultima Weapon shrink to wimpiness. It's a great setup, 8 swings anytime he chooses fight, will kill anything in the arena.

Just press L and R to run and you won't run. This will make Typhon attack every time instead of sneeze.

The Untima weapon's attack is based on the users HP. Thats why he is doing that awsome.

Use Offering and Gengi Glove Relics with Iluminadora and Atma Weapon equipped that makes 8 hits without any counterattack (Snes Version names for Ultima Weapon and Master´s Scroll), anyway nice video =)

It's also possible (but much, MUCH harder) to defeat him by having someone cast Stop on him (obviously, he still has to attack first), and then having your character unload attacks. I've only seen this happen once, when my brother did it.

Oh man, I hate this guy. In FFVI for the SNES I would bet Shadow's special sword (I forget what it was called) to attempt the reward, which said "???". I equipped the Genji Glove and Master Scroll on Celes to get a total of 8 attacks and throw her into the arena. Dozens of hours later, by pure luck, I managed to get enough attacks in to defeat Typhon -- and as a reward, I just got my weapon back. :( -- Ice Shield + Merton owns by the way!

for starters, you never do the Coliseum with Celes, way to risky, she has a 15% chance to use mellee, use sombody like mog, gogo, or umaro, they have a 80% chance to mellee, people with magic suck because they can use any good/usless spell.
