Honestly, Vista was a great OS. I just think the only reason everyone hates it is because 2005 - 2009 wasn't the best years to purchase a new desktop/laptop. I had a Dell XPS M1530 and a HP dv6000 both with Vista, and over 95% of the problems I encountered we're due to hardware failures and the overall laptop. The other 5% was common OS problems, I had 64-bit instead of the overused 32-bit so I was limited to some programs.

Vista was great, it was just shadowed by crappy manufacturing.

vista rocks, yeah. especially with its advanced functionality and its looks. however, it has been proved to have more bugs then any other version of windows. so if you're an it expert, you'll choose xp over vista because it's more stable and secure.

Agree but it was not that way on launch. Took about 2yrs of Updates to make vista work good. Windows 7 has a much better launch. In vista's defense it was going from XP and had a whole new driver structure and Win7 is using Vista's driver's and base OS so less issues for windows7.

i think vista was something completely new for microsoft in the begining and they just didnt know what to expect so it had bugs it was completely new to everybody and if mac got a thousand new features it would probably have bugs too.

If I would have gotten my resolution of 1360 by 768 going, I do believe that I'd be using Ubuntu today. Having said that, my Vista has been behaving very well for quite some time now.
