I made my video 3yrs ago and people still crying about saying warzone was a bad game. Mayhem sucked, Warzone sucked AND Nitro was terrible too!

ECW Anarchy Rulz actually had alot of the matches and gimmicks that made ECW well...ECW. The only problem was that it still controlled like shit, and the gameplay was much faster paced which does not work for a game like that. Like No Mercy wasn't a very slow paced game, but it did move at a somewhat slow pace. If you made that game with the kind of control scheme it had a fast paced as like the SmackDown games I guarantee it wouldn't have had as much critical acclaim. Ha "acclaim".

dude your crazy man wwf warzone was off the chain! i know that the graphics weren't as great as smackdown vs raw today but for 1998 they were good and that game is still addictive today

@johnnyfive22 Yeah these are one of my original videos when I just started making shows.Now as far as Warzone goes,its just like Thunder for me.Its simple special for the sake of when it was released.I have sentimental memories about them,but overall the Warzone isnt a great game.It has some excellent commentary,but the graphics,hit detection and the complication of pulling of moves is similar to that of Street Fighter.Mayhem is a decent looking game,but it has animation issues...

@johnnyfive22 Dont get me wrong,I would play Warzone before any of the trash they make today.But THQ's games for the N64 and its titles for the PS2 were just so much better.These titles today dont even compare to those games,and they are approaching the 15 year old mark.Amazing.

...Oh and Ric Flair wasnt in WCW at the time.

He was fired from WCW for no-showing an episode of Thunder in early 1998.

Although he was rehired later in the year.

....but by then the game was in the final stages of production and it was too late to add Flair to the game. =( I wish he was in it to. =(

I thought WCW Mayhem was one of the best wresling games ever made ( apart from the AKI games)...was really fun to play apart from some control problems.

personally, I think that WCW Nitro for the N64 should have been in the place of Mayhem. I never got a chance to play backstage assault, but that nitro was hands down one of the worst wrestling games I have ever played.

How could you not like WCW Mayhem? It had a great grapple system, and EA knows how to make good sports games. Mayhem was fun...
