In conclusion, I personally interpreted the entire Oracular Spectacular album as a mournful but reflective take on the band's uneasy transition from spectacle to pure musicianship. I remembered when Congratulations was first released, and how people hated their "sudden change in sound." The problem I had with these critiques was that it was only based on the sounds given off by the "Big Three" (Time to Pretend, Electric Feel, and Kids), and people had overlooked that the rest of Oracular sounded much like how the second album was going to sound like. This song is an example of that sound.
