A aula foi ótima... principalmente porque descobri que já fazia a coisa certa, mesmo que por instinto! Entretanto, calças sociais são um pouquinho piores para passar pois os vincos tem que ficar mais do que perfeitos. Mas valeu a dica, sim!
I really enjoyed your instruction.... i've learned a lot with your video.... how to avoid the creases i was doing when ironing and i love that your video did it all in one.... instead of hanivng to click several video.... i would give your video a zillion stars
@UndercoverSkinner Not if you sit down in them but they may hold longer starched if humidity is the problem. I don't often starch stuff. Maybe someone else could give an opinion.
From a professional ironer - good instruction for good result BUT NEVER, EVER HAVE SOLE PLATE OF IRON FACING YOU! Otherwise, press away for good results man!
No problem Gunnel - instructions are excellent but always stand BEHIND HANDLE of iron, don't take your arm across or round it to pick it up. An unexpected gush of steam burns like hell! Otherwise really good instructions - go for it!
i wish i had watched this before spending an extremely frustrating and unproductive hour at the ironing board trying to iron my fiance's pants. he wears the exact same kind you used in this video - thanks!
Great video. Thanks. I'm now moving into my own appartment (no mom to iron my clothes) and I'm not going to pay anyone for this, or make myself dependant on women.
Hi, I like that you take things step by step and explain what you are doing - thank you. Can I ask what you have on your iron that looks like a material strip and why is it there?
It is some kind of non sticking shield my wife found. It is held on with springs. The idea is to avoid having the iron stick on starch patches I guess. It does glide smoothly.
Cool my friend there are no iron lessons out there and sometimes you have to learn by your own, it's good to have people like you to teach your experience
I agree. I have been in the army for few years now, and always learning something new. Or to improve on. That was a great video. I always end up with these "Rail Road Tracks" all the time. But now I know better. Too bad my pants are rifle green, I would load the starch on them. Just to note; I'm typing on my wife's account. I'm just to lazy to log out and log in again.
Excellent instructions. Thank you for posting this!

@freebee007 Up to you. It is a more formal look to have a crease whether or not you have pleats

to richard418 down there, I do the same thing unless I'm supposed to be well dressed. Ironed pants look WAY better
Ventonator 2 years ago
with synthetic fiber pant you take them out of the wash, crease by hand and hang dry, or they'll wear down faster. nice vid.

I don't iron my trousers. I just put them on after they dry..
I iron my t-shirts though, otherwise it irritates me if I don't.
I don't think its worth 12 min for a ceaseless pair of trousers.. xD It takes me 30 mins to get ready in the morning..
richard418 3 years ago
If you want to look VERY good you NEED to iron your pants. Girls love a well starched pair of creased pants, especially with a suit.

you have a gangster iron. I wish I had one like that.
By the way, I'm in the NJROTC, and I need creases that you will cut your finger on it if you touch it, so should I use startch?

professional homemaker here. Definitely use starch. Spray it on the inside, give it a minute to soak in, then iron the outside to avoid flaking.
indyattic 4 years ago
Good tip about spraying on the inside. What starch works best?

I've been using Woolite sucessfully. I just grabbed a can of Easy Off because I had a coupon, but I do not like it as much.

Excellent job. The most important tip I learned was to line up the seems at the cuff. This really helps to get consistent creases down the front.

Indyattic says spray the starch on the inside, let it soak in then iron the outside to avoid flaky buildup.

Pleats are for NERDS! Your nerdiness is directly proportional to the number of pleats in your pants! :P Still, nice job.

Pants without pleats are like second rate hotels.
