@MissMandiErotica it's called compression. the director had to compress a lot of the things in the film. he couldn't do all of it. he also said he would rather get an actor who could play the part of lestat well, then get an actor who can't act well and just looks like him. he said it in the director's commentary. maybe if you watched that first, it would clear up a few problems you had with the movie?

Stuart Townsend was the best choice for Lestat. He is handsome and he appears so seductive. The fangs, the makeup, the hair, the costumes -- everything just went so well together. He is what I would dream a vampire to be. Plus, he gave the character more youthfulness. I didn't like this movie much but I loved him.

That might have been the case with Edward and Bella, besides; sperm thrive better in cold enviroments.
