I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Wiesel a couple of years ago. I'm quite sure the man is not a saint but when I shook his hand I felt that I was as close to an angel as I could be. I cried.
I was in the audience for my son's graduation. Almost everyone stood to applaud Eli Weizel, except an Arab man, who sat behind me. His wife stood and clapped, and urged her husband to do the same, by nudging him with her elbow. He stayed seated, held his arms at his chest, and held a large frown on his face. He and his wife left early. How do we get through to people like that, to make friends of them? Weizel was speaking to him, but he refused to listen.
