I studied at Cambridge one summer. In the town was a church with an organ built in 1695. It had a most beautiful reed stop. Do you know which organ I am talking about?
@3NUNS - Oh just come off my case you looser , it is evident that you have no life whatsoever as you have to track down my every comment on this website - go and get some friends.
And , primitive as you are - it is a great privilage to play on well known instruments and if you were an organist I think you would know what I mean its not something you get to do every day.
In the mean time I suggest you get some friends and even a girlfriend and stop wasting your time on youtube
@3NUNS - look , seriously - don't bpother write back, I really don't want to engage in any more conversation with you. I am three quarters scottish and treasure that side of me :D - so don't start. furthermore , I have performed in the Cadogan hall (london) , Carniegie hall new york , royal festival hall , the purcell room , St pauls cathedral , Kings College cambridge , the barbican centre (if you don't know it its in the city of london) and many other lesser know venues - so there

With your IQ , don't worry, I can understand where you are coming from, and I pity you for that , but alas , life has always been harsh on the least deserving of subjects. And let me just say , the lack of people such as yourself is what makes the barbican centre such a pleasant place. So , I suppose it is now appropriate to conclude this unpleasant little discourse by wishing you , truly , from the deepest reaches of my heart a very , very , very ,very merry Christmas.

@3NUNS - by the way , just for your information , there is indeed a factor which makes you , sir the pathetic and sad party in this argument ; that , being the fact that you have chosen to spend time engaging in an argument with a 16 year old girl - good luck to you in your future life , but there are many more productive and fruitful uses of time that I can think of off the top of my head
I agree with Capekurtz - the organo pleno is too loud. I play it quiet because bach wrote on the score 'play this piece quietly' - Oh hang on a minute NO HE DIDNT. So though he didnt tell us how loud to play it, it must be played quietly because some organist who claims they know how its played said so eve though bach may have played it like this. And dont say he would have played it like this unless you have proof, like a recording of bach playing it - Bach recording a CD? MY ASS
Do you think Bach ever played its pieces the same way and with the same registration ? It is doubtful. Beside one cannot really appreciate this registration since the recording is not of the best quality.
I don't agree. If you consider Helmuth Rilling's recordings, who is one of tha Bach experts, he is playing a soft and a loud version of this chorale...
you know ? your ears are just too closed for loud on this wonderful music. it's asif you were looking in the same time to the eyes and the mouth of the girl you love, and here that'so much you can't bare it !
pressing the key (either by an electrical signal or by a mechanical system as in older organs) causes a valve underneath the pipe to open. this allows compressed air to pass through the pipe and vibrate causing sound. the length of the pipe then dictates the pitch of the sound. it is much like any wind instrument; on which you change the length of a single 'pipe' (by the keys) as opposed to having many pipes. look on wikipedia if this explanation is too terrible.
This was the fist time that I played organ in a concert.I was so afraid to play fault notes, because my foot technic is not good enough yet. This organ's pedalboard is special for me, its black keys are very short, not easy to change my feet on each black key, probably I didn't learn the technic for this kind of pedalboard yet:) It's mostly my problem^^
Thank you! It's me there, can't you recognize?:p I was sooo nervous while playing, because I just had very few minutes for the rehearsal before some days ago, anyway, this organ is really nice, but a bit difficult to play, especially on feet:p

Considero que para una línea melódica tan dulce la registración elegida es contraproducente. Allá ustedes.

Nice. Various registrations suit this piece.
It depends on what you are trying to bring out.

Take the volume down then, the instruments needs to be there anyway you know, it's not written for only rhor-flute.

This is the worst of your various interpretations of Nun komm der Heiden Heiland.
Far too loud and "full" - the "organo pleno" sound just does not suit this piece.

moi je trouve cela exellent, l'orgue prend le temps de chanter chaque voix, contrairement à ce que l'on entend souvent.
