all im going to say is please be careful! with the street tires that it comes with, ( having one ) i would pretty safely say that it will slide rather easy taking corners/turns. ( which can be very fun ) but other than that.. the bike holds its own.
guys in case anyone is interested. I just took a 1455 mile road trip all the way from Florida to Canada.. on this bike, it was awesome, took me 3 days riding hard, average speed was 65 MPH stopped for gas 10 times. I was averaging 50 miles per gallon, which isn't bad, fairly comfortable, questions? let me know.
Ok, since you know what you are talking about, would you say this would be a better 1st bike for a kid whose parents hate motorcycles? I really love the Ninja 250r, but since it looks uber fast, my parents have a mental block about considering it. This bike looks sweet, and seems like it could handle the occasional ranch visit. What would you say? It this bike better for a shorter ranch commuter that is parent friendly? I have 1000 miles on my Honda Ruckus and its lost it thrill. Thanks!
depending on your speed and the windspeed it can be a big factor, especially if youre at a stop because of how light the bike is you feel the wind trying to knock you down
no
I have not
at first, i guess ive gotten used to it
the vibrations are noticable, but not enough to affect your reaction times or anything like that
@aerobatic500 wow so was it a fun touring bike i am contemplating this how is it for power on a road trip like that, does it have much left to give at high speeds
The S is the off road/dirt version and the SF is the motard version. The SF has the 17" motard wheels, bigger brakes, is lower front/back and has slightly different gearing for the street.
I want a vid of this going against the wr250x, i think that would be a great comparison. The yami is EFI though, just doesn't have that pretty headlight.

I'm about to buy one of these bikes and was wondering about it's road trip ability...good to hear it's fine...few questions...
--how much do you weigh?
--how was it in the wind? (not from other vehicles)
--were you pushed around by the wind of other vehicles?
--did you have gear packed on the back and how much did the gear weigh? (a few cases of sub frame breaking from too much weight)
--did your butt go numb?
--how are the vibrations at 65mph?
thanks and sorry for all the questions...

@copsinmyhouse
what do you want to use it for?
as a commuter bike its just about perfect but if youre riding long distances the seat might start to get uncomfortable
